And a different person

This account has been inactive for too long and cannot be returned. Please feel free to open a new account. Thank you for the email.

And yes, I realize this is not a personalized reply... but its as personalized as Neopets will get. The account was over a 1 year old :D

The people were Carmen (mailto:Carmen@neopets.com) and Darcy (mailto:darcy@support.neopets.com). Darcy replied twice, within one day of each email being sent, and Carmen took two days.

I'm still waiting for them to reply to the email I sent back in December.

Looks like TNT is finally stepping up.

Probably because of the reduced level of spam in chat boards, and less reporting.

I love these new rules...its reall yscaring the spammers into line :roflol:

Yea, I just got the same replies from darcy and carmen...

*sigh* I sent an email to Carmen and Darcy... still awaiting reply

[edit]I got an auto-reply from Carmen stating that my account has been frozen for cheating and as such I can't get my stuff back. Apparently, she didn't even read that I wasn't cheating... or nobody on the Neopets staff believes me. Any ideas what I can do to prove it to them?

Hah! Its not been too long.. mine was almost 2 years old and I got it back after I complained and said I could still view my neodeck & such, they are wrong. :P

Cool, 3 replies in 2 days!
I wish they'd be that fast with activating the results of sending in the consent form. -.- I've gotten replies from Carmen pretty fast, and about my consent form "Justin A" replied within a week. =) They're decent enough with replying to me, but 3 in two days is great!

What'd they say you were doing to cheat?

Sorry guys :( I've heard many times that an account that's going on a year of being frozen won't be returned.

Dustin, I think you were very lucky to get yours back!

Urth, I don't know what to tell you. You weren't cheating, per se, but technically, and according to the special rule they posted (can't find), you did cheat by letting her play and send a score on your account. I know, no trophy, no av - which is what that rule was written for, but I guess they're lumping anything like that together. It would be nice if things were looked closer and each case was looked at in its entirety.

EC, it's on the wall of shame. Quote: "Avatar/Flash Game Scams:
Another scam involves you giving your password to a scammer in the hopes of either getting an avatar or a trophy for one of the games. No matter what they promise you, by giving someone else your password you will lose your account... either because they have stolen it or because it will get frozen (since you have cheated by having someone else play games for you). "

Urthdigger, unfortunately, it seems to apply even if she was a family member. If I remember correctly, both of you were on the account at the same time (you at home and she at work)--that's probably what brought out the red flags.

Yes, Morningstar got it right. She was playing on my account at work while I was at home. Naniwai, they never told me how I was cheating. I just picked the most logical thing that happened. The only other odd anomaly was that I got a perfect score on level 2 of Mootix drop on medium difficulty. Anyhow, with the new suspension thing, I'm emailing all the emails I can find, asking them to look over my case again. Anyhow, I've kinda hijacked this thread, so if anyone wants to continue this discussion, they can make a new thread or continue it via PM or something. I'm always open for chats on MSN, AIM, and Yahoo.
