Well, since Neopets seems to have closed off all forms of communication, I've decided maybe I should try the original method you should use in the first place, regardless of the fact that they haven't said anything about my 3 other entries. Now, I've got a question: Has anyone ever even got a reply from these? I need Adam or someone might need to look at the code or something, maybe there's a problem and it isn't sending. Although one would think they'd notice by now if they get nothing from there. I hope it's broken though, and they aren't just ignoring me.

I've sent about 5 different emails to neopets. bug reports and what not. i have yet to ever get a reply. it's really discouraging being the consumer.

Have you tried sending a letter snail mail? In other words, with a postage stamp? That worked for my husband when his account was frozen.

In times, Snail Mail seems even faster than Regular E-mail or those forms! XD

I suppose in these cases, we should call them Slightly-Faster-Than-Forms-And-A-Whole-Lot-Better Mail...

Yup, sent it in December 1st. I actually sent a PM to Adam asking if he got my letter, but as expected, I got no reply.

hmm, I think there should be a topic where it explains the best RECENT ways to get unfrozen or a reply. Complete with e-mails or directions. Eh. Good luck getting a reply.

well, what happened?? did you get your account back?

I sent one for my old accounts and they replied in one week saying that they won't unfreeze it.

I've never gotten a letter back, a phone call, email, and I check my account every day. Still frozen. I even sent a PM to Adam her asking if he recieved my letter. No reply of course.

Ok, I just got a reply from Jennifer (I sent an email). Well, it's an auto reply.

Quote:
Hello,

Thanks for your inquiry. Your account has been frozen for cheating.
This is strictly against the terms and conditions that you agreed upon
when you created your account. You can review our terms and policies
here: http://www.neopets.com/terms.phtml and here:
http://www.neopets.com/chatrules.phtml. Because you have violated our
terms and conditions we cannot return your account, Neopets, items or
anything else contained within that account.

If you have any other questions, don't forget to include the entire
text of this e-mail with your username clearly at the top. This will help
me better address your situation.

Jennifer C.

*sigh* This really sucks. I'm wondering if my email was even read. I wasn't cheating, and I should have been issued a warning to alert me that something was wrong with my account.

Oh Urthdigger :(

your account was frozen because your mom was logging in to your account at work, playing a game and sending the score, is that right?

I was afraid this would be the final word on that. Mainly because they had posted something on the site (which I can't find right now) that basically said no one was allowed to have anyone else play a game for them, that it was considered cheating.

I think that was posted mainly for people playing for others to get an avatar or a trophy - that would be cheating IMHO.

In this case, your mom was just playing a game as a way to relax during her lunch break, she wasn't trying to pull anything, and neither were you.

Unfortunately, there's no leeway for cases like this. It seems to be an all or nothing kind of deal. If I were the person in support, reading your story, I would probably have written you telling you to never let anyone have access to your account for any reason, but that you probably already knew that. And I'd tell you that I was giving you another chance and give you your account back. Then I'd suggest that you tell your mom to open her own account ;)

I am truly sorry at the outcome of this.
