 Post subject: Good letter to Neopets Support?

*Edit #3* Hopefully final copy

My equipment consisting of 1 honey potion, 1 greater healing scroll, 1 leaf shield, 2 snowball slingshots and 1 freezing scroll all disappeared off of my pet Sloth_folower1. They disappeared sometime between 7:00 pm NST on the night of December 26, 2004 and 8:00 am NST on the morning of December 27, 2004.I don’t really know if these are the exact times just the last time I was on and the time I noticed. The items that disappeared are the ones I used in my last battle that was against hubrids_mansion. The only item that I had equipped that didn’t disappear was a Bubble Blaster. I was wondering if they were possibly deleted or removed by a member of the Neopets team for any possible reason. These are the only items that are missing from my account, no Neopoints or items from my gallery or Safety Deposit box. If it is all possible I would like these items returned. I have screenshots of some of them in use from the war. I will understand if you cannot return them. I know you are busy with the duplicating equipment glitch so I will not expect a speedy reply because I realize there are more important matters to attend with. Thank you for reading this letter. It sounds really good. You acknowledge that they are busy, you seem sincere and are not angry or blaming them, you mention the names of the items you lost (very important--so they know what to look for), and you thank them.

However, you should include two important things. First, state exactly when this happened (maybe their logs are organized by date/time). Second, you should specifically ask Neopets to return those items to you. Make it clear that you want them back.

I think it is great! I would mention which pet lost the items as well (if you have more than 1).

I got some items returned to me recently, but it took two goes. Basically, all the neohomes stuff I had bought on a certain day had disappeared from my neohome.

The first letter I wrote was much like yours, which got a response telling me that I should change my password and try not to get scammed next time.

The second letter I wrote stressed that it MUST be a neopets glitch & not a scam, because how would a scammer know which bits of my furniture were new?

That time I got my items back. I wish you all the luck in the world... I hope it works!

Maybe you should change the "YOU possibly deleted" or I may have been SCAMMED to 'An technical error, malfunction, or glitch'. It sounds less accusing and more accidental, and does not state that you may have been scammed.

Is anything else missing? NP? Rare items? SDB? Shop Till? Pets? People who access other sites are NOT known for passing over more normally checked stuff for BD equipped items.

If that is all that was missing, I wouldn't mentions scammed.

Sounds good to me.

Give them a little bit of time. I got my SDB stuff back a week or so after the glitch hit. Some people didn't get theirs back for a few weeks after that. And, if no response, it never hurts to write them again.
