If your neopet refuses to read a book - will they never read it? Or can you keep trying?

Nope. I'm not sure about the formula, but I believe it's if the title of a book, toy, food has the same number of characters (letters and spaces) as the pet's name, the pet won't like it.

Here is the magic formula. It is based on the number of characters in a book title, versus the number of characters in a pet's name:

M= Pet's Name Length


(M+1)X2 = NO READ

((M+1)X2)+1 = NO READ

All others = YES READ

Letters, numbers, spaces and underscores are ALL considered characters, both in a pet's name and in a book's name.

For example, a pet whose name has 7 characters will not read a book which has 16 or 17 characters in its title.
