Never.
(this only happened once in the whole history of nq1, and the popular opinion is that it was an accident. Also, NQ1 allows separate games for each of the pets -- if you've lost your game suddenly, check that you have the right pet active)

I thought My active pet was wrong, but all 3 ask me if I like to start a new normal game. I had a level 20 hero I was working on, sigh. Man I'll never beat NQ at this rate.

Update: Sorry I guess somehow I foregot to change it to one of my pets, and I found my save, Phew, I was real scared there

Thanks for the help.

Yeah I had a game started on my pet almost a year ago on NQ1 and when I came back to it just a couple weeks ago it asked me to do the same thing. Funny thing is though, all my stats from my previous game were still active (until I chose a new stat) so it was kind of weird...

I guess THT left the stats as compensation for the deleted games. It was great though since i could have beated the game with maxed all stats if i hadn't clicked restart!

I actually have one of those games on a pet.. but I've lost interest in NQ1 and been playing mostly in NQ2.. though I suppose I should actually try and finish it, at least.

Your game can also get reset if you die on NQII Insane mode.
