Rant: Why did they delete it?

Sun Dec 12, 2004 12:32 am

Ok, I was the co-owner of a new guild. All we had was a guild webbie (hosted on neopets.com) no contests, or anything that might get us deleted.
All the sudden, I go to check out the guild...its been delted no reason. We are now going to have to recode everything. Grrr...

Edit: Ok turns out the owner deleted it. And so go's my rant...
Shouldn't she have consulted me, the co-owner before she did it?

Ouch! Sorry to hear that :( I've heard of similiar things happening to my friend's guild. Just be more careful next time with the webite I gues :/

That's a shame..sorry to hear it!

Oh, yes, she should have talked to you about it.

Yeah, she really should have talked to you first because after all, you're the co-owner. If she offers you a new guild I'd turn it down if I was you. But that's just me :P

Amen to that.

I agree that the leader should of consulted you first, however Guilds don't exactly work well in co-leader situations. Not to say your guild didn't, but that the system doesn't.

There may be hope in the future, though. If memory serves me the Neopets Team was planning on revamping the Guild Structures and such awhile back. Hopefully they will get around to it. :)

Well, they girl FREAKING delted it again. I thought maybe it was delted because she used a contest (after I warned her not to) but NOOOOO...
I check her page and GUESS FREAKING WHAT? She delted the guild so she could go be CO-OWNER of some OTHER GUILD!!!!

She NEVER told me. I just checked the guild and, boom, its gone. I left it at that, but a day later (today) I got courious, so I checked her page, and like I said, she LEFT.
I really need to give someone a BIG and BLOODY thrashing about right now...

Wow, she sounds really.....questionable...? Maybe what you should do is recreate the Guild all by yourself and be the sole owner this time, no co-ownerships.

Yeah but, one time I had one that I had up for a month or so, and advertised alot, and worked hard on a good lookup for....and got no members.

Having been just on council (and since quit that) I would recommend just finding a good guild and joining it. Being owner, co-owner or council can just be a huge pain.

Try and get someone with a lot of friends to join. That way, you can almost guarantee yourself a few more members. Also, don't make anyone a co-owner unless you really trust them. I'm lucky, and my friend trusts me to be a co-owner of her guild, but thats coz I was her friend for about a year :D
