The mutant elephante looks good. I think the marshmallow grundo is very hard to tell that it is a marshmallow grundo. I'd be very mad about that, if it were my pet. I mean, they should figure out how to make some items for the marshmallow grundo, so they won't have it looking weird. Maybe you could but some kind of sleevless top on it, or something, but actually I think clothing would look weird on it anyway. I think it would look better with sprinkles or two Graham Crackers or some chocolate or other foods that it could wear.

Hah, yeah I love the graham cracker idea. I have a fire meepit with my mallow grundo and always wished for a biscuit pet to go with it 'smores' style. :D Perhaps instead of holding anything with arms, it could have a twig accessory that poked right through it as if for campfire toasting.

How do Darigan Techos look? Dare I ask? I tried to look one up and it didn't work. Actually, I've only seen the Darigan pets that have been posted in this thread. Are some colors still not done?

I'd love for some of the food pets to have chocolate sauce or various toppings as 'clothes!' The twig accessory was something I was thinking about earlier too. I'd be so thrilled with customization if TNT started to really get creative about it.

I can't wait to find out how someone would customize a baby pteri. Almost anything you do to it would look hilarious. I guess you could tie a bow around it, or maybe put it in a nest or paint the shell. I can't wait to find out what they do about it.

Can you remove the flies and stench lines from a mutant gnorbu?

Also, if you want anyone to see how you customized your pet, but you don't want to make a screenie, then use this link

click

MayEdit: Shortened your link so it doesn't stretch the page. :)

No, I have a mutant gnorbu on my other account and nothing on it is considered an item. Too bad, since I wish I could add flies and drool and stuff to ALL my pets.

Aww. Too bad. Flies and stench would look funny if you could remove them from one pet and add them to another. They could be added to any pet, I think, since it doesn't have to snap to the pet to fit it. It would be funny on a skunk pet.

Everyone use the customization link I just posted to look up the pet "bee"
This is really weird because it is blinking! The eyes blink!

Despite playing with this program on multiple pets of mine...more than once...I still haven't collected all my thoughts on it. So this is just kind of a quick, 'here's my two cents' sort of thing.

As someone who really enjoys customizing her pets, I was interested in this, even though I have my own ideas about how I want my pets to look. I wish they'd given us one or two "common" items to try out, something that would be fairly easy to fit to each pet such as a hat or fake beard, as I generally had little use for the options that were actually given. As for the redrawn pets, I have mixed opinions on those. Most were just fine, in fact, my Ogrin and Elephante actually looked much livelier and overall better. The only redraw I utterly despised was my Darigan Blumaroo - I believe my exact thoughts were, "Oh my GOD! What have they DONE to my BABY?!?!" *wail*

Overall, it was a fun program to experiment with (and I actually did get some ideas for my own pets while playing with it), but I've gotten so accustomed to drawing my pets and customizing their look that way, that this just doesn't hold a whole lot of interest for me personally. However, not everyone's an artist, and I still think this is a good way for people to make their pets unique without having to be one. I think it might also ease the demand for paintbrushes just a little.

I'm looking forward to being able to customize my pets with all of the clothing type stuff that TNT has released. My faerie aisha is going to rock her pink tiara and usikicon boa everyday.

Right now, it's not much fun for me because we don't have enough options, and I love my pets the colors that they are..but I am looking forward to adding to their colors.

This thing obviously had some kinks, but I it as an addition to the site overall. It's def grown on me.

Huh - I can't seem to change my active pet? Anyone else with the same problem? I recently adopted a pet, so maybe that could be a determining factor?

I know that my sister and I are having that same problem on our accounts -- however, the last pet I adopted was -months- ago and I believe it has been a long time since she has adopted as well, so I don't think it's an adoption thing.

I also don't think it's anything to do with having a recently painted pet -- I had painted my Lutari within the same day it came out, but my sister hasn't painted any of her pets (I think).

It's probably just a glitch they haven't sorted out yet or something.

Customise Beta is over!

If you participated, thank you! As promised, all your Neopets have returned to normal and all test items have been removed. (No, you can't keep that Royal Cloak! GOSH!) If you didn't participate... well, we won't hold a grudge.

We're still accepting feedback so, if you haven't already, please remember to submit comments or bugs using the link below. It's really easy, and it makes you 0.18% cooler every time you use it!

You'll hear more about Customisation in the coming days, so be sure to check New Features!

Thanks again! Don't tell anyone this, but you're our favourite.

I know I'm kinda late for comments during the active use, but as I had no internet all weekend (yeah for a bad modem), I thought I'd add my two cents:
I still have mixed feelings on this. I'm kinda glad beta is over, but some of the pet redraws were awful (from what I saw at a friend's house they did a horrible job with the royal girl Uni - the coloring was awful and didn't match the royal girl clothing, for one). On the other hand, it was kinda cool to see a faerie Uni dressed up in the royal clothes - it looked pretty nice.

They definitely need to do more for the baby pets. Period, end of story.

Accessories would be cool!! I think the tax beast clothes for the yurble had an option for a moneybag - little stuff like that would be great to add on. Maybe some seasonal items too, like candy canes or trick-or-treat bags, etc. {shrugs}.

All in all, I currently will probably not customize my pets until the drawings are better for the ones I have.

If they bothered to give the mutant bruce a removable "Mutant Bruce Tattered Tie", I'm sure all accessories are eventually planned to be removable :)

They'd better be. Christmas ornaments are not natural!

For the sake of some of my pets, I hope this becomes a feature for everyone soon, but for the sake of some of my other pets, I just hope it's optional.

I also hope there's a good percentage of the wardrobe dedicated to accessories, not just clothes, because none of my pets (except maybe my Lenny and Kyrii) would utilize the latter.
