Sam: ah, that's crazy - well keep a look out for it. he shows up and asks you to get the archivist's favourite meepit for some birthday surprise. you go in the office, knock over the vase in the back and then you can take the meepit. you take it back to the c-lenny and so far he's been telling me that it's not the favourite one. you go back in the office and the archivist has replaced the meepit with a new one, so you can keep trying. i'm just not sure if its a random meepit or if you have to do something else first. don't know why i'm getting this before others, tho

Anyone noticed that the inflation rate changes on the hour in all Altador shops except the petpet one? I've already found my Collector.
The petpet shop doesn't matter because it's not one of the ones that you would find the Collector constellation in. It's just like all the other Neopian shops - unaffected by the Altador plot (so far, anyway).

There would be only 2 reasons for this both of which could be true.

First it would be hard to put a money item on a petpet.

Second they need the shop for the gatherer clue

I sure hope the second is true.

A lot of people have wondered whether the inflation rate will affect another one of the constellations. I say a definate no. TNT fooled us once with that. Doing exactly the same thing for the next constellation would just be ridiculous. They can catch you out with a trick once, but the same trick less than a week later would never work. Now that they've realised that we're fallable, it makes the work harder for both groups. We'll look harder and in more obscure places to look for them, and TNT will as a result hide them in even more obscure places. And shops are no longer an obscure place.

Ah yes, but TNT might think we wouldn't look in the shops again either by the same logic. I went to the punch club and have the same clickable combo for the chalice as when I got it the first time. I'm waiting to see if the grarrl moves next hour to another location (can't remember where he was when I got the right punch combo). If everything stays the same there once you've found it and your constellation, then shouldn't the inflation stop changing hourly in the 3 shops once you've found what you need to find? I don't know if that's very clear...

Heh, it's reverse psychology x infinity xD

Who is "he", happytin? The guy from the Astronomy club? Is that his signal?

And where did you find that?

I thought about that after I found out the grarrl still moves in the Colosseum. Inflation still changing probably is not a clue to anything now but since we're reasonably certain that the Thief will be next, where would you find a thief besides a shop?

Apparently "he" is the connundrum lenny who is friends with the archivist or something according to the person who said it all

I wouldn't believe everything you see in the shoutbox. Before the constellations were released, you could wake up King Altador by looking at the Dark Faerie and typing elballiug.

And TNT wouldn't think of reverse-psychology, especially seeing as for every person who would not look in the shop, there would be three who did. But, never mind. Let's go check out this Meepit!

Yeah I felt very sceptical about it all but I thought I would double check just in case. They seemed rather stunned about it rather than trying to say it was really solid or anything and I didn't want to find out that it was true later and I never mentioned it :)

A secret hideout somewhere? A tavern of low repute?

Signature, eh? We'll see about that...

The shoutout box is on the main pinkpt.com page. The comments by Sam are in the "older" section. I checked the link he posted and it's the same archive I had before with no conundrum lenny. I changed the URL to include 'blahblahblah' at the end instead of the lenny stuff and still got the same thing (no error page) so this may be a prank someone is playing.

So, it was just a joke played by someone? :(

Just went and picked up the collector constellation. Got it first refresh, and with DarkFire's star map, I spotted the constellation within 3 seconds! Not sure how, but it was right there in the middle. :P

Out of curiosity, who first discovered the clue with the money? Someone'd have to be looking really deep to have figured that out.

I don't know if it is a joke. Could be they did something accidently to trigger it and that's why none of us can get the conundrum lenny/meepit.
