No, it was rather boring.
Hey, I just realized. I no longer work for that stinkin' foreman... *grabs foreman's cudgel and thwacks him over the head* That's for making me take sand back to civilization *thwack!* That's for... well, out of anger because I was too late for the blocks *thwack!* That's for expecting me to know where to put a piece of furniture despite not telling me!

*Grabs cudgel from Urthdigger* Get in line, we all want our payback, actually, this gives me a fun pic idea!
Edit:
The sun might not shine there but it's still a million degrees.
(I know, poor attempt but I was bored).

Hi, have not been on in days. Couldn't spend any more time moving stuff but the temptation to do more was huge!! lol
The plot seems to indicate a new room in the temple. One with armour. Has anyone been to look?

Could someone tell me what happened on the 2nd and 4th pages of the plot? They don't show up for me.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. Now that we have some downtime (I'm assuming) between parts of the plot, I was thinking of doing a series of works about the plot: Tomos, Nabile, moving sand, Ed the ID, etc. Look for them later.
Edit: I'm also thinking of editing the epic as we go and reposting after major changes. I hope all of that is cool with the mods

i've been at school all day, so i'm out of the loop.....did we ever get confirmation that someone got a scamander from the money tree? and are there no more scamanders there?
Thu Oct 13, 2005 11:12 pm
muzzle, I somehow managed to grab 5 scamanders. Of course they all escaped

I just think it was a "goof" that TNT pulled jut to have a bit of fun with us.
I know the fortune teller is associated with the tablet, but she may also be associated at some point with scrolls ... either finding scrolls in the library and having to read them in the order of your tablet (argh) or helping her find "missing" ones, something like that.
For now, I'm content to just sit back and wait, a break is a good thing.

Honestly, I feel like we've been on a break. THe furniture moving was fun for a little bit, then it became something I did this week when there was absolutely nothign else of value to be done in my life. LOL
So right about now I'm ready to rock 'n roll. If only I knew what the heck to do!! LOL

A Tribute to a Bored PPTer
Jojoneo needs a task.
Is the foreman the one to ask?
Will the teller tell us our fate?
Or do we need a new path to Sakhmet's gate?
Prince Jazan has a shady backstory.
While we wait here at the scroll repository.
The LDP seems to move real slow.
When it end, we will not know.
Work hard and prizes we'll find,
Hopefully before Ed leaves a blurry chalk line.

There you go. My first poem about boredom. Stay tuned for more.

yeah, i "grabbed" half a dozen or so, but did anyone actually get to keep theirs? there was some speculation last night before i went to bed.
i feel like i've been waiting this whole time....waiting to pick up more sand, waiting for people to help me pick up a block, waiting till someone finds ID. maybe TNT all went on vacation and they're just doing this so we don't suspect.

Ok, I am finally bored out of my mind too. While we are all being creative in the meantime, here is my "poetic" contribution to this "meantime."
::
The Lost Desert Plot
It's never been so hot.
Prince Jazan is clearly just plain mean
He's the one who stole the Fruit Machine!
Pushing blocks and moving lamp stands
Furniture-moving has never been so grand.
A pyramid buried under so much sand
Scamanders wriggling out of our hands.
Scrolls, tablets, tombs and glyphs
(Yet the Fortune Teller mocks us)
Hmmmmmmmm .. What did we miss?
Waiting at a standstill, a pause, a stop
Wouldn't it be nice if we could at least...
...um, buy a souvenir from the Gift Shop?

Ah! Now everyone is doing poems. That could have been TNT's plot all along, get us to regress to simpler times. Think about it. We live in a high-tech world with computers, MD players, digital televison and pets that exist entirely as electicity (just defining what computer data is), but all we have been doing is playing with sand, pushing blocks around, moving furniture, and chasing lizards, all while reciting poetry. I'm reading Homer right now in my lit class and if we discount the technology, we're doing everything they did back in his day! The worst part is that we look forward to a lot of that. Not to upset Zeus, Hera, Apollo, and all of the others, but this is getting ridiculous. Wait. Never mind my complaignt to the Olympians. I should be complaining to Ra, Osiris, Anubis, and Imhotep. Dang Egyptian gods (except Isis since she is the greatest)! Inspire TNT to do a desert plot; make them do stuff Egypt related; make us act like ancient Egyptians. Oh well. It really isn't bad acting like an ancient Egyptian.
...You know what? Maybe it is all Seth's (the Egyptian god) doing. He must be in league with Adam.
