I think it's more of a slight redraw for the new colors rather than a revamp in this case. (I'm guessing in the case of this and several older petpets -- they may not be able to use the orignal template and have to come up with new drawings of it) A revamp would make it look more significantly different (I've been hoping for a revamp of it for a while now)

Stupid question: Are those wings or ears?
I thought they were ears, but now I'm having second thoughts.

they redraw a few petpets when they give them new colors sometimes. the mazzew and the cadro come to mind.
quite frankly, i think in all cases, the original looks better. i don't like these painted magarals, even though i like magarals a lot. the original is SO cute, with its blank little face. the dumb grin and sparkly eyes that the new one has just makes it look goofy.

I'm pretty sure that they're wings. I mean, they are faerie pets after all. They do look like ears though. If they were ears they'd look a lot like counterfeit Furbeys, don't you think?

Well looking at the redraw, I'm sure the top 'triangle thing' is an ear, and the bottom 'triangle thing' is a wing.

Sorry, it's been there since the map was re-drawn, and it'srelated to a TCG expansion that has no real plot behind it.

The Staff of Garlicness, besides having a funny name, is probably going to be a Hidden Tower Item. They seem to have a lot of food related wepaons. (Like those Asparagus chucks and that carrot sword.)

It's either very rare, or not released.
