Well, I don't know how I missed my own post.

Yes, a mutation can mean a lot of things, but it SHOULDN'T just be angrier and eviler...not when there are infinite other, more creative possibilities. Mutants used to be mostly gross, diseased-looking zombie-ish things which is what got me IN to neopets to begin with. Then those were all mostly revamped into cuter things and it still ticks me off. The only one I still really, really love is the Blumaroo, which reminds me of gollum from LOTR. And it's not a crazy multi-eyed thing, either...I'm not saying mutant has to be elaborate, it just has to look mutated, and while mutation can take any form, a big angry demon or dinosaur-like thing is the least original possibility.

With its focus on having wild hair, the kyrii should've had weird wormlike growths/tentacles in place of its usual mane or it should've been gnarled and hairless like a mole-rat.

A mole rat kyrii would be awesome.

I am neutral on this kyrii, it has its good parts and its bad. If you don't like the way neopet artists are making them, draw your own, create your own site, and put them there :) Otherwise, all your complaints are void, suggestions sent to the neopets team would be wiser than ranting about them in this unreleased thread. Which in my opinion, has gone way off topic.

On another note, more sponsor games :x

i thought this thread was specifically for posting and discussion of unreleased stuff. that includes complaints.

i'm sick of people telling others that if they don't like something, to start their own site. people have EVERY RIGHT to complain, especially on PPT.

i agree that the kyrii looks more tyrannian than mutant. but i kind of like it. not enough to get one, though

First of all, noone has gone off-topic. We've all been discussing the unreleased stuff.

Second, the "don't like it, don't play" argument is really rather rude. All I said was that this pet disappoints me and many of the last few mutants look more like other colors to me. What in the world is wrong with that? I still like at least half of them enough to own, and I love the blumaroo and kiko enough that I'd play neopets even if those were the ONLY two mutants, but it's a color I look forward to constantly, it's rarely released and not too many species are left to get it. If it's been disappointing me I think I'm allowed to say so.

....And guess what, ya smarty-pants, HERE is a tiny, tiny example of my pet designs for a massive game universe that I started developing back BEFORE neopets existed and have drawn/designed hundreds upon hundreds of creatures and characters for. But here I am playing neopets and ocassionally complaining about it anyway, which I would still be doing even if I did succeed in creating a real game, so your point is totally invalid :P

You're half right. You guys may be talking about unreleased stuff, but the "don't like it, don't play" thing is, and/or inevitably will lead to being, off topic.

Opinions are appreciated here, but not when it turns into an argument or has the potential to become one so publicly. You are all free to discuss it amongst yourselves through PM, but drop it from here, please.

Yes, I know the toy isn't unreleased -- 'twas in the news the other day.

The unreleased/speculative part is this: That toy does not depict a released version of a Mazzew. And while it's conceivable that it could represent a hypothetical Tyrannian paintjob of the already Tyrannian Petpet, it looks to me much more like a Darigan paintjob.

Could TNT be about to release Darigan-painted Petpets and a Darigan Petpet Paint Brush?

I remember reading an editorial question about that a while ago -- someone asked if there could be a Darigan petpet paint brush, and Donna said it was a great idea and they'd probably do one. So I wouldn't be surprised.

no, it just looks like a slightly demented mazzew because its from Darigan toys... not darigan-painted toys, but toys that are made wrong and look eeevil.... and crappy.

I beg to differ. Who said evil toys are crappy? They are unique and cool, and some of them can be pretty cute too.

I think weezel is referring to the creepy "broken" darigan toys.

Thought that was a windup mutant mazzew for a second there.

I like that stripey burtonesque acara doll from the darigan toy shop.

I still wonder why there aren't any toys from the haunted woods (other than plushes of some of the inhabitants)....which would have to include that super-cheap, crappy little plastic spider rings they sell everywhere on halloween :D

yeah, i dont mean they are all crappy... i just threw in words to describe various darigan toys...

I know, some of them ARE really cool... but then there are the ones that are crappy... im not saying they are dumb items, im saying that they are manufactured to look ugly.. like these for instance: ImageImage

ok, maybe not crappy... i should say they look evil and demented. hows that? crappy isnt the word i was looking for.. it was demented.

however, there still is that possiblity of a darigan petpet paintbrush... i knew they said that they were going to think about it...
