My stats:

Rohane 60 Skills 386/386 230,553
Mipsy 60 Skills 250/250 230,126
Talinia 53 Skills 285/285 188,403
Velm 60 Skills 285/285 230,472

I think you should get Talinia up to lvl 60. It might take some time, but better safe than sorry.

Ok, so I'm on the first chapter of NQII on Evil difficulty. I'm surprised at how little money I seem to have! The last 2 times I've been near a town I've had to fight around the town for AGES just to get enough to buy all the weapon upgrades. Grrr.

Also... I was reading back through the posts on this topic and I noticed a few people had problems with the 4 faeries. My strategy (which was different to the others posted) was to take out the Earth Faerie first, to stop her healing the others. I was also at level 46 at the time, and beat them first time. But I'm sure the other ways people have suggested work just as well, if not better. Just giving my two cents worth :)

That's because the stuff in the shops get more expensive in Evil and Insane. Wait until you get to Faerieland on Insane...you'll be petrified.

That makes sence. Maybe I'll try that next time.

Well, it's been awhile since I played NQ2, but I am in Faerieland, on my way to the Fallen Angel. I'm currently saving up for those weapons.-_-

It's the Water Faerie that heals, not the Earth Faerie. ;-)

My Faerie strategy is left to right... Dark (Mesmerize), Fire (Obliviate), Water (Heal), and then Earth (zillions of HP but not that dangerous).

One thing that I tried on the first time for Insane that I think really helps: slow the Faeries. I usually use slowing potions on bosses, but never bothered slowing the Faeries before because there were so many of them. Then I tried it on Insane and it worked really well for me. True, you go through mass quantities of slowing potions (stock up at the Brain Tree first) and you spend the first few rounds doing nothing but tossing slow potions and drinking haste potions, but after everyone is slowed it becomes a lot easier.

Mipsy is whimping out too much!!

The whole game until now, Mipsy was my strongest player. Now she's dying every few fights. I'm not sure why, or how to fix her.

I'm in Hubrid Nox's Fortress (8th floor).

Here's her stats:

    Directb Damage ----- 11: Vaporize (+3)
Group Direct Damage ----- 15: Astral Maelstrom (+3)
    Group Haste ----- 4: Swiftness (-2)
    Slowing ----- 0: no skill
Damage Shields ----- 6: Wall of Ice
    Innate Melee Defense ----- 7: Diversion I (+3)
    Innate Casting Haste ----- 7: Swift Summoning I (+2)

Nox's Tower is just very painful for Mipsy, who doesn't have a lot of HP and constantly gets hit by Oblitirate (Hand of Nox spell). You either need to level up some more, or get out of the tower.

NQ2 is getting too boring for me :(

Fri Dec 17, 2004 7:55 pm

Pant devil just gave me Jahbal's Robe!! That is so cool! I just skipped Nox's tower since nox is too annoying and you don't really need his items. I'm almost at the second pant devil and almost at lvl 59 on everyone. Money is not even a problem on normal. what's annoying is combat focus. after the techo blademasters focus like 3 times, you can deal like 1 damage unless you're mipsy who can deal like 50 if i'm lucky.

Sun Dec 19, 2004 1:38 am

Yeah focusing is really annoying, I usually defeat the other opponents first and the blademasters lose a little bit of health with talina's spray of arrows and mipsy

i just finished neoquest II for the third time and I thought once you completed it, it tells you how long you took to complete it but I can't seem to find it anywhere, anyone know where it is?

After starting NQII in the summer with the intention of finishing it before school starts.. and then not touching the game for months after I finally made my way to Terask..

Talinia's strike slows King Terask slightly!
Talinia pierces King Terask for 25 damage!

King Terask is defeated!

Velm actually died, but Terask II was at <400 hp so I just kept fighting.

Whee. Another trophy for me. :)

Sun Dec 19, 2004 11:47 pm

I'm having a bit of trouble beating Terask II... I've tried 3 or 4 times, and I still haven't beaten him. My party is all at level 60... Does anyone have any tips?

Mon Dec 20, 2004 12:00 am

Spend all your gold on slowing potions and hasting potions (and maybe a few damage ones) haste Velm immiedately so that he can heal the team often :)

Tomorrow I'm going to fight both Terask I and II on Insane difficulty. I've been wrestling with the decision of what level would be best for Terask I - 59 or 60? A close call in the haunted woods (those deadly hands of nox) has definately effected the way I play - in a word: over-leveled...lol I figure one or two extra levels never hurt anybody, but at the end of the game you just want it to be over with. So to those that have successfully completed Insane difficulty - 59 or 60 for Terask I?

Thanks in advance

Edit: Already beat it - continue ignoring post
