Customizing Pets (Split #3)

Im thrilled that they made an old item wearable, even if its a funny little cheap hat. I was mad at TNT for making it so we'd have to wait for them to release outfits, and then have a lot of those outfits be species-specific, instead of making a selection of old clothes generally wearable first.

I put the hat on my grey jubjub, and now he looks so sad that a Blechy is eating his head. Or maybe hes just embarrassed.

Anyone think the new krawks are hideous? Althought I don't own one anymore they look bad even WITH customization to me :/

They do. I already whined at lenght about how the new tyrannian krawk is fugly. Now only my labrat is customizable, because I refuse to convert ay of the others.

/snicker... you should see my lab-shoryu. After about four colour changes I got two in a row with 'clothes' - desert and disco. Now I have a disco Shoryu with all the desert accessories. Very amusing to look at - I think it'd make Coltzan cry if he saw it, though.

I don't like the way krawks look either. I am hoping they can tweak them a little one day. I've looked a the old poses and compared them to the new poses. I think the reason I don't like the new krawks is they look skinnier, their feet look bigger, and they look very surprised. Their eyeball is much bigger. If they could redraw them, they should make the feet smaller, turn the pose just a bit so they face the side more. Make the snout pointed more upward like the old one, and do something about the expression, so they don't look so surprised. Mine looks like it is about to start singing or screaming "Party Party!" or something. I might as well put a noise maker in his hand and put a party hat or a lamp shade on his head!

Oh I might as well suggest that they actually make those items, it might look funny on him!

Instead of lampshades I'd lol (and yet still appreciate) if TNT released paper bags we could put over our neopets faces. Goodness knows we aren't getting any other form of justice.

Lol That's a good one Varii If I had my old account unfrozen I'd buy my krawk a paper bag(he's embarassed for having such big feet) and a bark collar...They look like hyperactive totodiles atm :/ No offense to any krawk owners of course

so i have a white gelert, zapped that way by the lab.. and he's shown as cloud on everything.. but his lookup says white. what's up with that?

I had a similar issue when my lab rat changed color from red to Christmas. What I wound up doing was clearing out my browser cache and (for good measure) logging out and back in - seemed to have done the trick.

I don't know how to explain this from a programming standpoint, but I think some images of your pet are supposed to update and therefore change constantly, while others load from the cache every time. Something like that. I mean, I kinda suspect that's why it happens, but I don't really know how to explain it.

I really hate the hand on Krawks. I wish they had forgone the ability to give pets items to hold altogether, because it's turned some great pets (Lutari, Koi, Krawk) right around, and now they are among the worst. The pets that have benefited the most looked terrible beforehand, and do not have the awkward hand. I honestly feel that it would have made the whole revamp so much better.

More pets would have been able to retain redrawn stances, and also be more flowing. I think the Lutari has the worst basic pet art on the site, from the best. Oh, and making Grey pets depressed. And making Darigan pets interesting. And keeping the old Aishas. I miss them a lot. I think the lack of hand is the reason many Maraquans look pretty awesome, still. It's about the only Aisha I actually like now (and makes me sad that my side account was frozen, with one on). Anyway, I'm rambling.

I'm liking customizing my pets, although it I don't care for the redraws much, it is actually kind of fun doing this. I just wish they'd tweak a few of the pets later on.

I don't know why you guys don't like the redraws. :S I don't mind them, but then again I just came back to neopets so maybe that's why I don't mind. So you think maybe they'll open up a fashion competition in time to those with the best dressed?
