I don't think they'll do that at any point, matchblow. One particular team will end up looking better (no matter if it is or not) and more people will sign up for it.

But not as much as a spoon!

Wow, at first I thought it was really hard, but I practiced for a while and I think I'm pretty good now. Thank god that we can use the mouse, I must say, my right arrow key is broken. >_<

I'm having second thoughts about Terror Mountain though, maybe I should join Altador... I really don't know. :\

The scores we send now don't do anything or appear anywhere, right?

I think that the team with the greatest number of people will probably win. So it'd be probably against the rule to gather up a lot of people to one team...

(Apologies in advance if I say anything that's already been posted)

I think we must be pitted against a computer opponent for each match, and the system takes the average submitted score for each of Team A's games in that match and compares it with the scores for Team B's. I hope it's not as simple as 'who has most supporters wins' because then Altador will simply walk away with it, no contest.

I have to say, I'm impressed with the amount of work that's gone into this. Those 'goal victory' images may not look like much, but it seems TNT need to have come up with two images for every possible pairing of teams.

I don't understand how your brain is supposed to keep up with all those keyboard commands. I'm using the mouse almost exclusively, with a very occasional press of Shift.

Me too. i've discovered that pressing space-right-space changes the focus to the keeper, but i'm not skilled enough to use that code

Weird. Probably because my CPU was spiked while I was taking the screenshot.

And in case anyone's wondering, you can play against them, and there's more special stuff, but you can't submit yet.

@mods: this image is 671px wide. Is that okay? I know 500 is the normal limit, but I thought it would be good to see at least one full-size, so the quality isn't ruined. If not, please link it instead of removing it entirely :)

I'm still not seeing any differences between the teams or players.... are there any two that are really drastically different so that i could compare?

So according to the team descriptions and the player bios who looks like the best team? who looks like the underdog? I'm gonna be a faerie either way. hehe ^_^ I want a Yooyus!! They're so adorable.

Oh wow! if you change the urls around, you get matchups between teams. and there is commentary made by some funny commentator neopets. very nice!

Thanks Ferret, I printed it out for my son (maybe I'll use too).

HaHA! Thank you for that link, unr4veled! I found the team I played to be easier than the practice team. >_> I'm sure that was just a fluke, though....

afyapardess: I've been playing that way too. It's not a bad way to win.

matchbow: if what you just said is true, I love you long time. That could make all the difference!

{EDIT}: just tested it, and it seems to be left, not right. That makes the combinations:

space left space =
space A space =
S A S =
S left S

All you qwerty users will love SAS, but us poor dvorak users suffer again! I can't even play whack-a-ghost, trouble at the national neopian, ....

{EDIT again}: I've tried it, it works... but I won't be trying too hard to use it because it's a bit tricky. Some new things I've noted:

Fire and ice are more different than I thought!
- Firstly, you can shoot with fire from very far away and still get a goal if you go for the sweet spot.
- Secondly, when you start off and they get possession, sometimes they'll pass straight back to their middle guy. He'll almost always pass back to the first guy. If it's an ice ball, you can intercept it and take the ball straight up the field for an unchallenged shot. If it's fire, though, you'll probably miss the intercept and they'll get a far-off shot on goal... which I've conceded a few times! :(
- So with fire, let the pass back happen, THEN take the ball.

When I said in my earlier post run straight at the goalmouth edge, that isn't quite right. You need to run at an imaginary point just outside of the post, as this brings the goalkeeper even further to one side, making a cross-the-mouth goal even likelier.

Also, I've scored quite a few times with faerie now. You need to aim further outside the posts, as if missing on purpose. Also, this seems to work better for me going bottom-to-top, rather than attacking from the top and aiming for bottom corner. When I've nailed this down a bit more I'll write up a newbie guides with pictures.

Why aren't people discussing more of this stuff? Seems like I'm the only one interested in talking strategy. Been waiting for someone to pick my last post apart and make better suggestions. :/

I've made a site where you can choose your and your opponants team... just enter the assosiated number in the prompt box...

http://www.Link Not Allowed/storemyneo/altadorcup.htm

apparantly i'm not allowed to post that link... but the link that i use is too long and would stretch the page (and doesn't work with tinyurl). Any suggestions?
