EDIT: Didn't work, though I did find a codestone. Probably the only thing thats happened that's good this morning.

Maybe different people need to analyze different constellations, then? Though it seems odd that so many are getting their numbers from the Sleeper alone....

Ok Ive searched through all the rooms that were posted a while back ie: 6x6 and so on and didnt find my book, now I just tried the sleeper co-ords
and couldnt find it either lol I think I may need some help on this one.

my co-ords are (-213,25) (-173,-5) (-133,-35) (-93,-35) (-53,-5) (-13,25)

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Okay i realy like the coordinate theory.
It makes logical sense and it explains very neatly a lot of the number issues we're having (why only multiples of three, and why 12's come up so much)

However i did my math (math at bottom) and got 12x12. None of the books in this room are a spell book. Is there something else special i should be doing?

x = 59 + 99 + 139 + 179 + 219 + 559
y = 41 + 11 + -19 + -19 + 11 + 41

x = 1254
y = 66

x = 1 + 2 +5 +4 = 12
y = 6+ 6 = 12

I'm not sure what you mean by which spell. But, as i mentioned in a page 2 post, there's an error in that earlier piece of my math
It should be

x = 954

Wow, people on the NeoBoards are saying that decimals count as different spells as well. While it probably doesn't matter, I went to my spellbook and typed in 1, then 1.5, and 2, and all got different results.

So every spell / spell number combination is the same for everyone? That seems far too easy somehow, even with over 52,000 spells.

You know... if everyone took a set number of spells to test, we could probably have them all sorted out in no time. *shrug* just a suggestion

That's what people have been doing. I and a number of other people tried the first ten and a number of random numbers and came up with the same results. Personally, I've only done the first 200 or so, but I have many more on my list because of help. If you would like to add some, or check them (I have found some wrong ones so far) I would be very appreciative.

In an effort to clear up the thread for spell theories, I'm offering my assistance to people still lost on finding their spell book. Please PM your star data. Coordinates are easier if I'm seeing them for myself.

It makes sense that the coordinates would come from the sleeper constellation as the book should be concerning the DF. I think that's why it seems to be only from the one set of stars.

EDIT: They've been testing the numbers on the neoboards. Personally it seems like a bit of a fruitless search until we've found some kind of clue. Most of the numbers have been tried and so far nothing's been turned up. It could be that the element of the puzzle to do with the spell hasn't been activated yet...

Please note that I quoted you quoting MY orgional post in an attempt to correct the fact that you were quoting a post that origionaly had bad math in it. I've since edited that post so nobody else will make the same mistake

IF you are doing the math correctly and your room(s) are NOT a multiple of 3, people on the Neoboards posted they rounded to the nearest multiple of 3 (if I remember either up or down) and then got it. Just a hint.
