Yes you can. Just don't use commas when you do it!

Yes. I and others have reported it several times. It's really bad design to have it that way, but so far they haven't fixed it. :-(

It took me ages to work out what the problem was!! I never knew you could put in commas when pricing items. I am sure that once upon a time, you couldn't use them as it would bring up an error message saying it was an improper number.

But as theonlysaneone said - just don't use commas when pricing your shop. I know it is a hard habit to break, as I use commas all the time to divide the thousands, but since playing Neo, I have learnt not to use them.

It is a poor design where commas are not used in user's shops, but are used to display the buy price.

The only time I ever got caught by this was in the Trading Post - I had arranged on the Chat board to lend an Avatar item, so I put in my price but used a comma, when the bid went up, of course it came up as 10 000 not 100 000. The person thought I was trying to scam her.

It took me quite a bit of persuading so she wouldn't report me!! It turned out alright in the end. But since then, I never use commas in my prices.

I don't use commas. The problem is that the field only takes 5 characters. When I put the cursor in the price field, it does not remove the "0" that is already there. When I type "11550" on my keyboard, the last zero is ignored, and the price is set to "01155". This is a recent change - it used to accept all 5 digits I entered and the 011550 would be changed to 11,550 when I updated it.

Solution... press the backspace key and delete the zero. :P

They probably changed it because before, the max price was 250,000NP, a 6 digit number. Now the max price is 99,999, a mere 5 digit number.

Well that's the obivious answer, I usually do that. But, as long as they stick the "0" there taking up space, they should you someone enter 6 digits. or even 7 if you want commas. It's not like they don't range check the field.

At least beep or something, don't just ignore input...

Yes, it is a simple solution... but the problem is, if you don't notice it, you can lose tens of thousands of NP, and it's an easy mistake to make. And believe me, a lot of people have been making it, and losing their NP.

It says x10 bonus, so do you win 39k or 3910?

Zamaritan's my lab pet anyway, so I wouldn't have cared if she's been baby-tized, but my heart jumped into my throat when I saw that. This is the first time I've been visited by Boochi. Had this been my side account, I would have been disappointed that he missed. However, it wasn't....

He's darn lucky I didn't have my Darigan Peophin out....

Woo! #146. Now if only Burninate could be 147..

Edited to add: Ah, what the heck. Took my winnings and adopted a Shoyru from the pound just so I could do this:

Anybody want a Shoyru in a week or so? ;)

Edited again:

I didn't realize it until Altador opened. I hadn't restocked in a while and was busy lending my zdap. I managed to get an altachuck early on and the extra zero that's there lost me around 60k. :/
