Aaaand, back on topic, it would seem that reading the scrolls in the repository does nothing. I can't figure out what to do with the crystal. Has anyone taken it to the toy repair shop or the ice crystal shop?

I checked both and I couldn't find anything. I also checked the faerie statue in the tomb, but again, nothing.

Same here.

I checked the repair shop and the crystal shop. Nothing. Can't equip it to a pet. I could apparently feed it to my skeith, if I wanted to. heh.

And the search continues.

Has anyone investigated the possibility that the useless crystal really is useless and that we are meant to discard it and then do something?

Anything that Neopets has ever listed in the title as being "useless" has ended up being "critical" to doing something...

I personally believe that the crystal will be used in conjunction with a light source. Now where, other than the statue is a light source?

Ah, another day, another day of nothing happening. I liked reading everyone's theories up to now. Seems like we (meaning you) have tried everything (again) with still no luck. *big sigh* I guess we still have to try everything until we're out of possiblities. So I guess we have to come up with new solutions to have fail. Anyone try feeding the crystal to a Poogle for Poogle Racers? I can guarentee a loss for the poor Poogle trying to pass the crystal  .

But if the crystal is associated with the Scroll Suppository, that might be the wrong end. :P

Speaking of the Times, i am :roflol: at http://www.neopets.com/ntimes/index.pht ... 4&week=212

Also, I summed up some of the more pertinent points in the Editorials thus far (sorry it's so long, I really did sum it up):

17th June
Could you maybe combine the supporter and warrior role into one?
Hmm... That is interesting. Maybe this is something we would do in the next war. Also, to change things up a little you will not be given the option to choose sides in the next war, you will all unite and fight together!

1st September
Lenny Conundrum
This weeks Lenny conundrum offered the chance to win Pyramid Painting Vol. 7: Faux Finishes... interestingly the scroll doesn't seem to be one of the 12 we had found.

2nd September
This plot we are doing something different, you will not be able to choose sides, but you will earn points that can be redeemed for great prizes. One way will be through fighting, but that is just one of many...

Why in plots are Uni's nameless steeds who never talk?
Oh this one is very different :) This Uni has real character as you will see later on :D

I was wondering if you were going to update the Sakhmet Palace featuring the Lost Desert Plot characters?
Yes, in fact the whole Lost Desert map will be changing quite drastically very soon. Muahahahahaha!

16th September
Just wondering if the Lost Desert Plot will be super-ultra-extra hard to solve? And could you tell us a little insight on what will the main solving quality be? (i.e. battle, puzzles) We are hoping it will be super-ultra-extra hard to solve. Its hard to make a puzzle with millions of people working to solve it though, I am sure some people will get certain parts easily. The parts really are quite varied, and you just need to figure out what you have to do to progress.

22nd September
Are you going to release a sidebar with the Lost Desert Plot?
Erm… sidebar? What gave you that idea? Yes, we are hoping to! It's still in the works though, so no promises as of yet, but it is our intention to release one if we can. Shhh…

30th September
Because you have dedicated a WHOLE day to the Nightsteed is there going to be a nightsteed avatar?
Ohh, he *would* make a cool avatar, wouldn't he? Perhaps we didn't release one because we have other plans for an avatar with his likeness… *shifty eyes*

Are there going to be parts where it's advantageous to be amongst the first to do something, and in particular will there be a prize at the end that there'sa race to get?
We're trying. :) Anyway, without giving too much away, we'll say that we are keeping track of every piece of the puzzle each person completes. There are certain stages where completing things first will earn you more points than someone who completed it much later, but in general, the more of the puzzle you complete as a whole, the greater the reward will be at the end.

I don't think this article contains any clues. If you look up this user, it's just an ordinary girl getting an idea for an article out of all this Sakhmet-hysteria, cause her lookup looks pretty regular. And, at least for me, the article didn't contain anything we didn't know already... Good thinking though, I don't think TNT has ever putten some clue up there, but there's a first time for everything.

I don't know. The poor Poogle could need some reading material.

Just tried it, I had to know if this would really be possible... but well, it isn't, you can't select it to feed a poogle, would have been fun though :)

edit: typo

Dang. What other games are there besides the Poogles and Cooking Pot where we can bet items? Unless there really is a glitch, we have to find some way to use them. Maybe as 'tokens' for the Vending Machine or Neocola Machine. We just have to find a way to jam them in as hard as possible.

I noticed that "morphing block" at Floor 1, Row 17, Col 41 changes from being a piece of floor, to a piece of wall, to a "nothing" (or rather sr_bframe.gif as opposed to sr_block.gif for wall and sr_floor.gif for floor).

Has the person that sent in a glitch report received any response? Seems like if it is still there now, it is most likely on purpose, but I don't know how to "unlock the block." Does anyone know what "bframe" might refer to in this instance?

When you move up one or left one, from that corner view, it is different. But I am not sure what it is supposed to mean, sorry I offer no help. I suspect may be something to do with getting into an alternate dimension, but how are we supposed to use this darn Useless Crystal?!

Really? It used to be null, i.e. <img src="http://images.neopets.com/desert/ldp/sr/tiles/">. So that means they know it happens and it's not a bug.

I think all the tiles are just located there. The exact name of the "non-loaded image" is sr_bframe.gif, not that I claim to know what it means.

EDIT: Well sure enough I just clicked on the 5th floor "secret passage" and ended up on a different floor and the staircase itself was labelled sr_bframe (as opposed to sr_up or sr_dn or sr_floor).

So either it is a glitch, or something we have to unlock. I see no reason why the actual block itself should change from a wall to a floor to a secret passage depending on where you view it from. Yikes, might we start having to click on every square, rather than read all the scrolls? :P

EDIT 2: Dare I be the one to make the horrible suggestion, that if all the secret (and not so secret) stairs from the 5th, 4th, and 3rd floors all loop around, but dump us near the 2nd floor stairs up (which are apparently both a "secret" (sr_bframe) and a regular stairway), perhaps the missing link lies in that awful basement? I explored a lot down there, but didn't click on every square. I suppose I will take that on as my task next. :P
