These are pretty decent pets. The girl's not TOO girly and prissy like some of the Royalgirls.

Wow! The royal boy draik is really nice

The royal girl is good too, but I think hair looks a bit odd on many neopets and this is one of them.

Those Draiks are pretty interesting. I like the girl's outfit and her earrings. Awww, and they both have little gold bands on their tails. I don't know why, but I see those as wedding rings. O___O
I think they're pretty cute. The fire breathing poses are adorable.
However, I think the girl would look better without hair.

They do not offend me, which is one of the highest compliments any royal pet will ever receive from me.
I don't like them, but they've fulfilled the requirements that constitute a Neopet "color" for me, even if I find the species abhorrent. First of all, they're actually different colors than any other draiks. It seems such an obvious thing, but so many royals, most recently the shoyrus, are almost the exact same color as the four defaults or colorfill brushes. That's something I couldn't abide in a cheap colorfill, let alone a brush worth nearly 2 mil. Second, they're still draiks and not humans in hideous diguises, barring the wig on the girl. I can easily dismiss the rise her chest as merely the fall of the fabric of her shirt since they seem to have some Arabian influence.
If you're one of those strange humans who can tolerate the draik's naturally twisted form, I could understand that these might appeal to you.

^If that's been up since Draiks were first released... I'd say since then.

My first impulse, when looking at the royalboy draik, was "Why is he wearing lederhosen?". I'm not really a fan, they're all right and all, though. I especially hate the gold on the...what are those, whiskers?, though.

Wow. ^_^ I'd better start saving up for a Royal Paint Brush, that is what I'm going to paint my Draik. He'll be so happy. ^_^

I *really* like the royalboy, the poses, colours, everything really. Royal is not for me though. But I would love if the non-redrawn draiks looked like this draik does beneath it's royalness. It looks much more dragon-like, and so elegant and poised.
If a blue draik looked like him without the royal garb and with those poses I would be sorely tempted to save for the draik transmog.

I especially hate the gold on the teeth, though.
Those aren't teeth. They're dangly bits of flesh. Though I'm not sure if that would influence your opinion of the adornments.

Heh, I edited my post before I noticed your comment. Nope, that doesn't change my opinion much . If anything, though,I'm a little more turned off of the color because of that.
...dangly bits of flesh? I wonder why I never really noticed those before. They're a little bit unpleasant to me when phrased that way.
Ah well, no matter really. As long as other people like the new color.

I'd call them barbels. Like on sturgeons or catfish.
Tue Apr 05, 2005 2:34 am
I call them whiskers like on oriental dragons, although I'm not quite sure what the oriental dragons themselves prefer calling them.
Tue Apr 05, 2005 3:11 am
I called them dangly bits of flesh because I'm sleep deprived and have lost the ability to remember key words in my vocabulary. Barbells or whiskers more likely is what I normally would have said. You don't want to know how long it took for me to try and describe insubordination well enough to remember the proper word for the behaviour.
