Good chapter. I agree with whoever said that Isca just kinda let him go up there even though she thought he would die.
I also agree that the jokes about what TNT is allowing into this comic are getting kinda old...

Heh. I just noticed this. In chapter 5, panel 3, it says "He hid Isca's Magic Necklace in his pocket..."
In the next frame:
(If you haven't figured it out, he still has it on. Either that, or he has gone moldy around the neck.)

I'm lovin' the plot so far, it's complex enough that you can really get into it, something I thought the second meridell war was a little lacking in.
Anyway, let's see... highlights... I liked seeing Isca's sister again, though her name escapes me at the moment. (edit: Caylis ^^) I hope Garin doesn't buy the farm before he becomes a good guy because for some reason I'm a fan of the little squirrel. Oh, and I was thrilled to finally see a Pirate Kougra in the plot, since that's my first and only permanent Neopet

Caylis is the "evil" sister. Isca is the main sister.
Just noticed that the Tuskaninny is using his front flippers more like legs than hands. Much like the possible new version that was seen on the "Create a Tuskaninny" button... hmmm...

Overall so far I'm happy with the plot. I like the longer chapters and the story seems to be at a much better pace than the Hannah one. I like the story and it has some complexity to it. I really like Isca and Caylis and their relationship. I'm curious as to what role Caylis will play in the scheme of things.

It is quite evident that there are different artists. Apart from the inconcistency between all the characters from picture to picture the Tuskaninny on the fishing boat isn't even the same color in the two side by side pictures...Laelya wrote:

It also looks as if different artists drew Garin. I personally like the first style the best.

Like I said in a post above, characters in G-rated Disney movies have been shown drinking. Neopets is not a site for tiny children. We can handle seeing the squirrel drink a glass of undefined liquid. It's not like he's shown stumbling around and slurring.

I think it's fine. The younger kids won't even understand it anyway. It's just like in the new Sims 2 games, where all 'adult activities' are called 'Woohoo'. I thought that was cute.

Sheesh! Am I the only one that though Garin stealing the sword was really cool ?? I mean, sure, the Maraquans need it to protect themselves, but can you honestly say that if you were a pirate and saw an ultra powerful weapon lying there for the taking you wouldn't take it ??
And I think it means the Maractite can cut through water no matter what the size and bluntness of the edge. IE : Try dragging an Iron bar through water and you'll meet resistance. Try dragging a maractite bar through the water and you won't meet nearly as much.
God help me, if Neopets turns this into another soppy good hearted story where the only decent character is turned good (IE : Kanrik) I may kill some people.
Oh well, at least Sloth will be in the Talador plot

The thing that i dont get is some of the pet's drawings . Take for instince the Maqarian shop keeper for the shell shop . She has to stumpy ''paws'' .Yet Isca has 2 normal human arms .
