So what do you do if you have been wrongly frozen, but the person who froze you was friends with Adam?

Someone hacked my account, put MY pet in the adoption, some other innocent person adopted it, so I emailed TNT about the hacking thing and THEY thought that the person who adopted my pet had hacked me (But they didnt) and froze them, and that frozen person happened to be friends with Adam, who froze me.

Everyone i email about it ignores me and I havent got a single reply! What could I do?

angus, i'm sorry to hear you were frozen, but i do agree it probably was not good to abuse the glitch. good luck getting it back though, but i guess it does depend on how much you abused it, fingers crossed though :)

sorry you lost your account. whatever the reason, its never easy losing something you put so much effort into :( still, if you did cheat you probably won't get it back, and that's how it should be. good luck with a new account if you're going that way :)

o_o Or maybe there is a glitch with the freezing programs and you abused that by getting frozen. o_o

Um, no.

Speaking of glitches, I noticed Whack-A-Kass seems to be glitched today (I posted about it with a screenie in the games forum). It's giving an extra 9 meters for some reason.

I decided to NOT send any scores until I know it's over...when it comes to things like that, it's better NOT to take your chances with a glitch. Every time you do something like that, you risk losing your account. Only problem is, with these things some people don't notice the glitch to begin with, and may be unknowingly "abusing" it. :(

So anyway, heads up on WAK everyone....

I just couldn't resist commenting on the glitch from a game design perspective.

Games are not like the real world. Users assume, and validly that whatever the game world allows them to do is a valid action. It's the programers responsibility to limit the actions of the user appropreately. Now neopets is slightly different than a regular game in that the web interface gives people unexpected environmental control. However glitches are still the reponsibility of the game designer.

The genearly accepted solution is that abused glitches should be immedeiatly patched and if possible the people who gained from them should have that gain taken away.

The exception is when the glitch allows players to somehow affect, or harm other players. In that case more permanant action should be taken against the offending player.

Should people abuse glitches? No, a good person would never do that. Do stupid New Member who abuse glitches have some basis for thinking it's okay? Yes actualy. If they're used to playing other online games things are often handled differently.

So in conclusion if TNT can tell who's been using multiple dailys perhas they should have rolled back their accounts to before that glitch instead of freezing them. Just my 2 cents

Also about whack a kass -- the doll will travle a little bit even if you don't hit it because the wind pushes it

I think all that could have been discussed has been discussed and this thread has gotten away from the original topic of conversation.
