Captin locks Orrin in Storeroom (only in captain's version, first event possible)

Hoban says his "Yeah. lets see you laugh..." line (all versions)

Pink person dissmisses it as him being grumpy, wepon master remarks about how that you shouldn't joke about such things, this was probably when Hoban was called bad luck... (last bit is only in the second comic)

Wepon guy goes back to work, Bonju goes to wash dishes.

Wepon guy sees bonju get knife, which Bonju conferms.

storm sighted, All hands on deck called, at whitch time wepon master is about to go investigate Bonju, here I wonder where Bonju stashed the knife, as all hands on deck was called as he was returning from the wepon's room (according to the wepon's master) but bonju said he was about to clean the silverware.

Hoban is spotted twice during the storm, both at the starbord side, one whitch he was to mad to even talk, and the other was when he appenently was much calmer (when he helped the wepon's master)

bonju talks to Hoban, possibly before hoban helps the wepon's master. Both accounts tell us that hoban was really angry at Linae.

after the storm, the wepon's master says he DID see Orrin during the storm, but the captain tells the first mate to go let Orrin out of the locked storeroom.

Orrin tells everyone about the person falling overboard, they search for Hoban in vain.

dock at kwark Island, mystery island, and faeryland in that order, a very small ammout of evidence points to Skamet City as next destination, but that makes no sence as it is far FAR out of the way, unless they've given up on Hoban and are headed back home.

I know most of this stuff has already been said but it helps me to have it all written out in order.

No, it's helpful to do.

Hoban was also spotted once at the port side in the Chef's account.

One thing we're missing is anything helping us time Orrin's account (as given by Tuan, of course)... maybe when we speak to him, we'll get a more concise timeline.

EDIT: switched port for starboard... now I'm starting to confuse myself. ;)

That's the best and most accurate summary I've seen on here, at least as far as it being pretty much the same as what I've gotten out of the comics.

So far, I trust the Captin's account the most, and Chef's account the least. I'm looking forward to hearing Orrin tell us his version of the story.

I actually distrust the Ruki the most right now, he seems to have been the person who triggered Hoban's anger. We should figure out what he said. The pink thing seems to have wanted to cover it up aswell. hmm...

Has anybody tried mixing ingredients from The Cyodrake's Gaze shops to try for the Bonju avatar? Or maybe mixing those ingredients with jelly?

If I could nab something from eith Remarkable Restoratives or Exotic Food, I would try it out.

pH7 wrote:A question of my own... If they have a storeroom, why did their supplies get washed away?

I assume the storeroom is for the most important stuff. There would probably have been more supplies tied onto the floor of the deck.

You know what? The more I think of it, the more we need (at least as the accounts currently stand) a map of the ship.

We have nothing telling us where the porthole Orrin heard things through is located and we have nothing detailing the organization of rooms and all below decks. If we were doing this iRL, we'd at least have the benefit of seeing where things lie in perspective.

[Okay. So I like maps. :P]

ANYway...

I'm hoping when we get Orrin's account we'll at least get (1) timing of things and (2) some relative location of the porthole.

And I agree with Catastrophic's comment.

I'm dubious about the Chef's account. I at least found both the Captain's and Weapons Master's accounts more believable and compatable.

A map would definitely help clear a few things up.

The thing that I find most suspicious about the Chef's story is that he "forgot" to mention that he had been in the storeroom/weapons room (it's unclear where he really was, as the weapons master says it's the weapons room, but we ask the Chef why he was in the storeroom).

The timeline was seriously useful, thanks :D

And a map would be a good plan, as long as I'm not the one making it ;)

That timeline was very helpful, thank you! It's all information we've heard, but it's very useful to have it all in one place (that I can then put into a text file). XD

The petpage with the plot guide gives a list of species/name/job for each person on the ship, but I thought it might also be helpful to put it down here for easy viewing (since I'm also copying it into my text file). I hope someone hasn't already done this and I missed it:

Tuan - Gnorbu - Captain
Shumi - Scorchio - First Mate
Orrin - Nimmo - Inventory
Hoban - Aisha - Navigator
Linae - Kougra - Not specified
Kentari - Shoyru - Weaponry
Anshu - Ruki - Doctor
Chef Bonju - Blumaroo - Chef

Which kinda begs the question of what exactly Linae does on there. She seems to be a decent sea...woman and know her way around the ship, but she's also in charge of Kou-jong/entertainment. *ahem*

Good point. Now that I think about it, what exactly IS her job? Maybe she could just be another crony, you know. Not everyone has to have a specific job, though with a crew as small as this one, it would make more sense for everyone to have a specific job. Maybe she rows the boat? Right now I can't think about how it moves (aside from the wind pushing it).

It's magical! How else could it go up into Faerieland?

Fri Aug 18, 2006 1:10 am

Maybe Linae is just some random rapscallion that they took aboard. Maybe she swabs the decks, who knows. Maybe she hypnotized them with the magical addictiveness that is Kou-Jong.

Fri Aug 18, 2006 1:23 am

Whatever Linae does, I'm sure TNT has assigned a useful function to her that we'll find out about soon.
Historically, in some cultures, women who wanted to join all male crews were considered "women of ill repute." But, obviously that's not the case in Neopia.

Fri Aug 18, 2006 1:27 am

Has there been anything we had to DO yet? I'm afraid I missed the beginning of this plot...

Fri Aug 18, 2006 1:37 am

well, I can't make a map, my Paint program is broken, does anyone know where I can get a new one?

Fri Aug 18, 2006 2:39 am

If you read back a bit, there's a whole "she's a concubine" section... :D
