Thanks, gemma, it seems he has "forgiven" me (or is just very cool about it). We are working it out now, but as he is in Netherlands and I here in California, I might have one last day on my own, since he is heading to sleep soon. Thanks also for your encouragement. I want to finish it, too.

Especially after over 4 days and about 20 hours of trying, more than ever. But I vascillate between "I wasted 4 days, it could be another 4 days" and "I been doing this for 4 days, I have to be at the end soon".

It really is nice to know there are people out there that care if I finish though. Thanks again. :hug:

EDIT: ... About 1/2 hour later ... Well my boyfriend just got his sequence. Sigh. I might try opening up 8 pages per each "action" and just randomly refresh like a Mad Plumber Wizard soon. :P

EDIT2: Well two people tried for me, each for about 1/2 an hour or more. None of us can get it. I must have the hardest sequence of all or something. I am giving it ONE (and I am serious this time) last try with the 8 windows open (one for each action) method, then refreshing all haphazardly. I have memorized my flows of water. I have thought forward and backward. Time to think .. sideways? o_O Am I the last one doing this? Y'all are waiting on me, eh? :oops: Helllloooooo... *echo*echo*echo*

--cold wind blows through the dark barren trees... until the sun turns the cold wind into spring showers and the trees bloom--

If you happen to have not gotten your water and quit, how about trying again after the next clue comes out. Maybe when they change the servers for the next clue, it might break free your virtual chains.

Just in case anyone else is still "stuck" at this Water Plant of DOOM, here is what I am trying next (feel free to join me):

Open up fresh tabs (you may want to flood first, but with this method it matters little) or windows (using the room= URL links); two for Room 1, three for Room 2, and three for Room 3.

Submit the following into each consecutive tab but do NOT click Go yet!

1. http://neopets.com/altador/plant.phtml?room=1&act=r1v1
2. http://neopets.com/altador/plant.phtml?room=1&act=r1v2
3. http://neopets.com/altador/plant.phtml?room=2&act=r2v3
4. http://neopets.com/altador/plant.phtml?room=2&act=r2v4
5. http://neopets.com/altador/plant.phtml?room=2&act=r2s1
6. http://neopets.com/altador/plant.phtml?room=3&act=r3s2
7. http://neopets.com/altador/plant.phtml?room=3&act=r3s3
8. http://neopets.com/altador/plant.phtml?room=3&act=r3s4

Take a deep breath. Refresh tabs/windows (using the actual refresh key or browser button rather than the link above the pictures) like a Mad Plumber Wizard, orderly or randomly.

The "point" of this being (if there is any to all of this?) is to now maximize your "click effects" since order and logic do not seem to matter, this ensures you can more easily hit those "odds" of the "right" sequence. By refreshing using the browser button or keyboard key, you are refreshing the ACTION, not the room of any prior action that may have caused an effect. The links above the rooms refresh the room proper (to observe the effect of another room after you clicked anything). However, observing the water flow, changes, etc. does not seem to matter, despite the puzzle seemingly trying really hard to do that. ;)

This is a method of last resort. Good luck to all.

If you truely want to randomize, in the right click menu for the tabs in firefox, there is a refresh all. That will leave the order up to the internet and all of neopets servers.

Shhh, auto-refreshing is against the rules. 0:)

PS -- Ahem, cough cough, with Avant browser you can refresh (all or each separate tab) in variable cycles (from 10 secs to 15 mins). But you didn't hear that from me. :P

anjuna, you are not going to believe this!

I was just about to give up, and told a family member whose birthday is today " there are three rooms (showed her the rooms), just go in wherever and muck around" - I went to make a cup of coffee.

She yelled "What's this" - It was the congratulatory page!

What did she do?

Start: xx | xxU | UDU

Went into room 3
changed levers to DUU (left to right)

Went into room 2
changed lever to D
clicked left valve once
clicked right valve once

Went into room 1
clicked LEFT valve 3 times
clicked RIGHT valve once

Got congratulatory page.

Final settings: ++ | ++D | DUU

Please note:
* I still had Astronomy Club equipped to my active pet from trying out WockyChocky's theory
* It was AFTER midnight NST time (approx 12.30 AM)

Total time <45 seconds

To say I'm stunned is an understatement. I only hope you can achieve a similar breakthrough.

EDIT:
Room 1 - no water
Room 2 - Water in right vat
Room 3 - water in vat + top right channel

gemma58, I love you :D:D:D

I flipped and turned everything to have it in your initial position then followed that exact sequence you posted - and it worked :D:D:D

Thank you!!!!!!!!

I have a question for everyone. I got my water plant in a few clicks, and I was wondering what everyone means when they said they flooded Altador? Is it on the main map or what? :roll:

It happened when you opened all valves and switches.

In the hope of helping those stuck in clicky-town, here's my final solution:
Left room
++

Middle room
++ D

Right room
UUD

I tried doing mine sequentially but then got bored and did the random click thingy. After flooding the city three times, I finally managed to get it.
Hope this helps!

Whoot! I'm just glad it helped. :D
Now all we have to do is find the right sequence for anjuna!

EDIT: Katdragon, what was your starting position?

Indeed, amazing that worked. It didn't for me. Nothing seems to. :(
Thanks all for being so concerned and willing to help brainstorm with me.

EDIT: I suppose I am borderlining here using Avant's help, but I have no other choice after so many honest attempts exhausting me. I am at least monitoring my page changes visually and varying my refresh times (in human random cycles, since I can think now only think of so many combinations of refreshing actions that there could be), but physically my own arms cannot click anymore. All I can do is stare at pages refreshing.

I deserve to be able to solve this and advance in the plot. I have devoted nearly a week of my life already. Amazing many friends and I have thus far have failed. I hate to cry "glitch!" three times, but I almost want to. :roll:

...is it just me, or does anyone else think that the flooding would wipe out a large portion of the Altador population including our nice archive friend... But it's Neopets, so death does not exist o_o If it did, they would all so be dead >_>;;;
Sorry, it just amused me and I had to share ._. *sitting patiently waiting for next clue* ^^;

Try a pair of dice. The solution is not "random", but then neither is any sets of actions a person does. Roll one to determine which room, then roll another a few times to choose some switches, etc. It will take your thinking out of it and let you blindly stumble into it. That's the only way anyone has done it yet....

Except anjuna + Avast. All brains and arms have failed or given up. :(

It's really fun now to just watch the water keep changing. I feel like I should be given The Specialist prize for keeping the water flowing so nicely in Altador. :oops:

It did come with a caption saying it would have happen if you had not been stopped. Much like what happens if you go back to the water plant, go through the closed door and try to flip more switches once fixed.
