Has anyone investigated the possibility that the useless crystal really is useless and that we are meant to discard it and then do something?

"Are you sure you want to discard this item.... Click OK and whoopsies its gone.... :\

"The chef looks at you askance. "Oh, did you lose your crystal? Well, they're useless. Here, have another one." He rummages in the box at his feet and hands you another useless crystal."

So doesnt matter if u discard it, u just get another one :)

Well you can fight the two headed dragon now. I have tried fighting both it and the smoke monster with the crystal in my inventory and nothing happened.

Technically, BOTH are "Solitaire." Solitaire is, according to dictionary.reference.com, "Any of a number of card games played by one person."

Sakhmet Solitaire is a solitaire variation that is also called "Klondike." It's the most commonly known form of solitaire, so people usually think of it first when someone says "solitaire."

Pyramids is a solitaire variation that is, surprise-surprise, called "Pyramids," among other things. I've also heard it called "Pharoah's Tomb."

Aaaand, back on topic, it would seem that reading the scrolls in the repository do nothing. I can't figure out what to do with the crystal. Has anyone taken it to the toy repair shop or the ice crystal shop?

its not tripeaks, its actually called another thing in the real world. Tripeaks is a game where you have three pyramids connected together to clear.
