Cause young girls playing neopets want to look like the faeries, causing them to start dieting unnecessary and ruining their digestive system?

umm, hate to point this out but thats a bit too excessive. I mean the reality of the situation is that kids can turn on the tv and see people with tube tops etc. Even kids clothes have become skimpier *thanks to britney

* What next..the tombola man in a tuxedo ??

But "everybody does it" is never a good excuse to do something bad.

I wouldn't categorise cartoon faeries in slightly revealing clothing as "something bad". Not in our present day society, anyway. Many young females nowadays wear even more skimpy outfits than the faeries in public.

everyone has different definitions of bad. In some tribal cultures, the women still go around without tops, in our modern society its indecent exposure but in their society its the norm.
For me, i don't hang out at the beach or go anywhere near it and i dress quite conservatively..so if i see a woman wearing a bikini top in town, it looks revealing to me. For someone else who's used to seeing women in bikini tops..they don't bat an eye.

There's two issues at hand here:
Clothing: They're faeries who don't have a good income. They probably make their own clothing and therefore, can't afford lots of nice clothes. I say more power to them for making the best out of their situation.
Body Weight: They all have really high metabolism. They were born that way so, they've always been pretty thin considering they eat a very well balanced diet. I think they look fabulous for who they are.
Everyone is beautiful!! Let's be more accepting of these faeries!

Guys, I think you're talking it a little too far. I doubt it's Neopets' intention to promote eating disorders. I don't think they really put that much thought into it when they were designing the faeries.
And saying that thin celebrities are the way they are because of eating disorders is like saying every over-weight person is that way because they stuff their face 24/7. The reason why Britney and Christina and other pop-celebrities are the way they are is not because they are trying to promote girls to be super thin or because they themselves have eating disorders. I mean, they're dancers. Dancers are thin because they get a major 3 hour cardeo workout every night from preforming. It's just annoying to here "Having super thin rome models promotes eating disorders". If anything, thin celebrities should promote healthy active living.
Back to the original topic of Jhuidah, I have to confess that I was the one that kept pushing Neopets to give her a makeover (I wrote in the editorial a few times, and my questions were accepted a few times). I was hoping it would be more like she looked during the Mystery Island Plot, but now she looks really thin and creepy. I'm kinda hoping for another re-draw, more like the TCG version (or the MI Plot one). Those ones are more like the old Jhuidah: kinda curvy, larger hips... etc.
And the one in the Gallery of heroes looks really nice. Sure they made her look really fit, but I really don't think it was anything meant to be bad.

Hahaha! That made me laugh so hard!

Looking through the Gallery of Heroes, it seems to me that none of the faeries are particularly scantily clad or wafer-thin; they've got hips, the space faerie has next to no skin showing, and I think claiming that Neopets is influencing young girls to such an extreme extent as anorexia is quite out of place.
Yes, the media sucks, and yes, American society has an unrealistic ideal for the female form- I do not, however, feel that Neopets is forcing this idea down people's throats like Abercrombie and Fitch is; the faeries are active, so the fact that they're fit seems pretty appropriate to me, and in my mind they've filled out and become less wafer-thin than they were before.
Yes, well.
