One of the many things I don't understand about TNT: they had the perfect opportunity to change the rules regarding the Lenny Conundrum and Mystery Picture when they changed the method of awarding prizes a couple weeks ago. When they announced the 2,000,000 NP prize pool on the News page, they only said that they were providing an incentive for not sharing the answers. They easily could have posted a "no sharing" rule or policy at that time. However, the manner in which their monitors are handling the MP this weekend is so inconsistent, and very confusing.... o_O

And they were doing so well too...

Funny how one little mistake can bring them down to amateur status again.

I have an update on this whole issue of the MP. A friend of mine received the following letter from TNT Support today:

Hi,

Giving answers to Lenny Conundrum or the Mystery Pic is NOT against the rules. If someone wants to post the answer on the message boards or if you want to work as a group to find the answer, that is okay. Thanks for writing!

If you have any other questions, don't forget to include the entire text of this e-mail with your username clearly at the top. This will help me better address your situation.

Hopefully, this will clear up a few things for the future! :)

Thanks for posting that, Deb. Certainly clears things up.

Hopefully teesmom gets unfrozen...

It looks like another case of misinformed monitors. Gee, now why would we need a clear FAQ on the site?

I don't understand why they wouldn't put the effort into doing this.

Life would be easier on us. This little fiasco shows it would make life easier on them!

Why do they insist on making life more difficult for everybody?!?

They're like those lame-os who go through McDonald's drive thrus that don't have working windows so they get out of their car, order, get back in, pull up to the next window, get out of their car, pay, get back in, pull up to the next window, get out, get their food, get back in, and pull into the nearest parking stall so they can go inside the restaurant to eat!!!!

(have I mentioned I hate my job?)
((have I also mentioned that it isn't McDonalds food that kills people... Its just the people that eat their are generally stupider and more likely to die anyways!!!! :x ))

The games board is there for people to discuss about games, isnt it? Mystery Pics is also a game and as long as people are no giving away answers, it is stupid to warn them for just giving hints or discussing about it. However, it isnt surprising to me though that they are over reacting again and freezing people left and right.

CURSE YOU ADAM!!!! How are we evr going to figure this out?

I think they are only deleting the boards where people give the answer away, I was on a board and it was about 8 pages long where people were saying things that they had tried but werent it. Then someone posted the answer and it was deleted in 30 seconds. I think that the rule is that its ok to discuss it but not to actually tell someone the answer.

Which seems fair enough to me, its horrible when people spend hours trying to find the answer and then 1 person goes blabbing on the neoboards and the prize money is pathetic. The hints are usually enough to give people a push in the right direction and then at least they have to actually find the answer themselves. Just my opinion of course!! :D
