Okay, here's the information on worm frequency I've gathered. Your results might vary. I've listed the worms in order by frequency, from rarest to most frequent.
Color: # of times appearing in 24 Hours (% of total time worm appears) Rainbow: 4 (1.4%) Black: 5 (1.7%) Pink: 38 (13.2%) White: 56 (19.4%) Purple: 81 (28.1%) Orange: 81 (28.1%) Green: 146 (50.7%) Yellow: 156 (54.2%) Red: 183 (63.5%) Blue: 196 (68.1%)
Color: Longest interval without that color appearing Rainbow: 14 hours, 30 minutes Black: 7 hours, 40 minutes Pink: 1 hour, 35 minutes White: 2 hours, 25 minutes Purple: 1 hour, 5 minutes Orange: 55 minutes Green: 35 minutes Yellow: 35 minutes Red: 25 minutes Blue: 25 minutes
Color: Times worms appear (listed as start time of 5 minute interval) -- only done for two rarest worms Rainbow: 10:45am, 2:25pm, 2:50pm, 8:10pm Black: 8:00am, 12:20pm, 3:05pm, 4:40pm, 12:15am
Note: these times are listed in EST, but that doesn't matter much since your times will differ, anyway. Two of my rainbows appear very close together (there's only a 20 minute interval between appearances), but then there's also a 14 hour 30 minute interval without a rainbow. Someone else had said that black was the rarest with 5 appearances/24 hour, but for me, the rainbow was actually rarer.
My rainbow and black appear fairly close together around 3pm. Actually, 9 of my worms appear in the 2:50:00-2:54:59 and 2:55:00-2:59:59 intervals, which means I can collect those 9 starting at 2:54:00, and then in ten minutes pick up the black and have all 10 worms. Of course, this time isn't always convenient for me.
What I would recommend is over several days/weeks, as you have time, track the rainbow and black worms at times when you ever might be able to collect them (even if it's just one day/week) -- there's no point in tracking at 3am, for example, if you're never up then. Remember that once you pick a worm up, you won't see it again, so you'll have to forgo that worm during tracking (if you track your latest times first, you'll know when you can go back and pick up the worm so that you don't miss very many days of moltite).
Once you know when your rainbow and black worms make their appearances, track the others around each of those times to figure out what times work best for you for gathering worms. Hopefully, you'll find times where you only have to collect worms 2 or 3 times per day to gather all your worms.
Blue graffitied on my signature... But it made me laugh, so it's all good!
