Ack! I missed the first day. :cry: I bought the decorated brain tree from a shop, but I'm worried that collecting every single prize might be a requirement for the winter sidebar. I missed just one day last year and didn't get the sidebar then.

I <3 the Advent Calendar. I think the neo version is 100x more fun than the chocolate versions.

Ah, dangit. I hope not -- I totally forgot about yesterday's advent calender. >_< If so, I'll raise a ruckus, because not everyone can be on every day, you know?

Speaking of which, thanks for posting the thing for yesterday. =) I was wondering what it was.

I don't believe it is a requirement. If it is, it's definitely not the only one.

I am disappointed over the quality of flash in comparison to last year.
There is only a tiny bit of movement in loop.
It is almost embarrassingly poor in comparison!

To describe the "animations" I was going to use the phrase "suck compared to last year" but you said it much nicer. :P

One reason for the shortness of the animations this year may be the heavy traffic neopets has been getting lately. It seems like their servers are having a hard time keeping up with everything on a normal day; add to that hundreds of thousands of page loads extra because of the advent calendar and even a little bit of file size for the flash would make a difference.

About the short animations;

Does anyone remember last year when no one could access the advent calendar for ages because there were too many people on accessing it at once?

Frankly, I don't care if the animations are shorter, I just want to see what we get from them. Wouldn't you still be complaining if the calendar was unavailable?

Yeah, that's unusual, but I'm not complaining. :P Would rather be able to play with it than have it just sit and rot in my SDB. So nobody tell 'em to fix it!

The animations are pretty good, considering TNT's had a lot of major work lately (HW plot, games room revamp, etc.) I just hope it's not a month solid of pets decorating random things and giggling like they swiped one too many helium balloons from the office Christmas party. And this one in particular? I was expecting the Yurble Foreman to pop out of the snow somewhere and scare the bejabbers out of those pets, and was disappointed when it didn't happen.

I wanted an angry Janitor too. :(

Maybe we could get a "Scrooge Plushie." later on featuring you know who, accompanied by a Tiny Tim Nimmo Plushie.

Sigh. I can't hear any sounds. I'm composing a melody on the computer and have to change the speakers to MIDI mode or sth...now I just can't get it back. I'm soo horrible at wires.
But, according to Sylence, I don't think I'd want to hear the sounds........?

You didn't miss out on much. =D I was never one to expect great audio from Neopets so whatever. =P Though the sounds were most definitely annoying. Mm hmm.
