I notice that the shack is no longer clickable after having picked up all the meepits. I hope we'll be able to find the link easily once it's updated again.

It's worse for me because I'm not too good at the game o_o

First try to pick up a meepit and have it run away. Then play the game.

After you get all your meepits is the room you are looking for in the woods?

There's a space in the woods with seven bright spots. You have to put the meepits there.

Here's a suggestion on how to symbolize the "rooms" on paper, so you don't have to screenshot every single room: (I strongly suggest doing it on paper, it'll go MUCH faster, and you won't get so confused between trees and paths if you write the trees in "gray"!)
A (or upside-down V) - straight
C - path that curves like a C
D (or backwards C) - curves the opposite way of C
S - path that curves like an S
Z - path that curves like a Z
O - clearing

2 or a Y - tree with 2 branches (if your 2s look like Zs, use y, since "y" looks like that tree)
3 - tree with 3 branches (or just draw a tree with 3 branches)
4 - tree with 4 branches (or just draw a tree with 4 branches)

ex) for my first room, it was CSSCS. My clearing room was AZOyA

Number the first room (1). Click the left-most path. Number the new room (2).

- Click the left-most unknown path
- If it's a new room, write it down with a new number, and under the path that you took, write down that number
- If it's a room that you have already, write the number of that room under the path that you took.
- Make your way to the highest-numbered room for which you have an unlabeled path. (If it's an old room, this usually means you want to get back to the last room you were at. If it's a new room, stay there.)
- Click on the left-most unknown path....
(repeat)

The vines part had 20 rooms for me. The meepits had 30 rooms.

The 4th step takes advantage of the following fact: If there is a path from room A to room B, then there is a path from room B to room A. Going to the highest unlabeled path de-tangles the map and leds to nice consecutive-number paths. On my vine map, I had a nice string that went

Code:
9)  4  D  y  4  S
       10       8

10) C  3  3  4  S
    9           11

11) A  4  Z  4  3
    12    10

12) A  4  3  Z  4
    13       11

There's also another way you can use this to your advantage: to check your answers. If they don't match up, check to make sure you didn't repeat a room listing.

Be careful about not flipping the Ss and Zs, and the Cs and Ds!! In the meepits map, lots of rooms looked very similar.

For people having trouble with making maps and thus need an example, here's mine:

Image

(er, this is actually a resized, low quality version of mine, sorry- the original, in it's full size and quality is about 1 MB large, thus the need for a resized, lower quality version :P )

(and yeah, there is no Y- I forgot and instead skipped to Z!)

Huzzah! I'm done! No more vines, no more headaches looking for missing vines and/or Ghost Meepits, no more of that stupid map...for now at least. d-(^_^)z Thanks so much to those that have found the solutions and kudos to TNT for fixing their database problems (successfully exceeding my expectations of em)!! I wonder if they'll release anything plot related tomorrow...

Yay for no mapping and randomly clicking and still getting everything. After the LDP, mapping things hasn't been at the top of my list ever since. But now up to date, so thats good.

still whining

Mon Oct 16, 2006 2:29 am

I'm still whining because I still can't get the cave to come up for me. Anyone have any ideas? I've gone back and read all the comics again and still nothing. I had the pendant/necklace...it's now gone. But I can't get the cave to come up. I click on go into the damp cave and the header comes up..but the page is blank.

Have I whined lately?

If you haven't been catching the edits I've been making to my post above (you people post too fast!!), do maps on pencil and paper - it goes MUCH faster and wasn't as confusing for me. I gave up trying to map the TDP because there wasn't a good way for me to do it on pencil and paper.

I drew my map and got to the end! Alright! Done for now, thanks all. :)

Mon Oct 16, 2006 2:34 am

Finally. Its sooo easy to find the door when you don't need it, But when you do you can't get back to it. lol

Mon Oct 16, 2006 2:35 am

Oh thank god I'm done for now... I think that click, click, click sound is gonna be haunting my nightmares for awhile...

I don't think mapping is the way to go. I didn't map and was amoungst the first to make them dance. After a while you kinda reconize a few spots and get get around easily.

Edit: Ah, never mind. Just got it ^_^ I guess Level 3 is all you need.

Actually, I got it on level 2. You just have to get over 400 points I think, maybe even lower.

I'm sure when we get to 50-100-room maps that won't work so well... :p :p (Hopefully that won't happen though!)

Mapping is DEFINITELY the way to go. If you make a good map, you can systematically check all of the rooms, to get every single Meepit (or vine).
