It's been like, 7 hours
For me anyway. That's when I started trying to access the site.
Probably won't be back until Monday when I'm back at work.

Wah.

I was playing Neopets last night and saw that there was a plot update, but I thought, "naah, I'll leave that until tomorrow, when I'll have more time, and my daughter can play too". Wah.

I'm sure tnt is working very hard to fix the problem. I just hope this doesn't mean we'll have to begin from scratch when the database is up and running again.
Anyway, I have a question for the people who already did the first few steps of the latest plot update. Did you guys make a map of your woods where you had to collect the vines? I don't know if it's big or small (like bruno's cave).
Did anyone happen to screenie the comic before it went down and put it on a website or petpage?

the forest is much bigger than the cave, and chances are that hopefully everyone will have to do this part over, unless they will give us back the vines that were "lost"

I started to make a map and got completely confused. It would take a lot of time and patience to map it out properly, I think... and we didn't really get that much time before everything started to lag.

No screenies. I mapped two of the sections by hand though. The first area (the swamp) is 5 scenes or views large. The second area (the upper woods?) is 20 "scenes".
Although I didn't get to finish mapping the second area, I'm fairly confident that I'd found all of the new "scenes" since I only had 6 unassigned paths when I got kicked off... I hope that helps!

Thanks

So if it's only 20 scenes it's not that big right? Atleast not like the LDP tombs...
People on the neoboards are telling to delete your neomail and sales history etc. I don't see how that would help. Isn't the plot on a different database then our neomails?

Mapping it didn't take very long. It was so much faster than the temple of 1000 tombs, and it's laid out in a similar manner (i.e. if one room takes you to another room, one of the exits from that second room will take you back to the first one). Only 20 'rooms' for me.

That doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. It'll save space on the servers, yes, but won't fix the number of people accessing it. They had the woods up and running last night, and the problem is that there were a few bugs they had't worked out of their code (sticks weren't appearing, or everyone randomly got meepits when they shouldn't have, or the vines were disappearing when you dropped them and never coming back). I imagine they're just not looking forward to scouring throusands of lines of code this weekend. So deleting your neomail and sales history won't do a thing.

The neoboards come up with some very strange ideas. :/
Well, looks like the plot isn't coming back anytime soon (now I've said it, it might be up tonight, of course) so off to sleep.
Night all.

Blah, guess I'll actually have to study and do homework this weekend.

The comic is available for those who haven't read it yet.

I was origninally planning on painting, but then I wanted to get the plot done first....looks like I'll be painting now...

Well, I got about 9 hours of sleep and the plot still isn't back up yet. Oh well, I have to study today anyway. I just wanted to get this out of the way.
I went on the NeoBoards last night when my vines disappeared and a lot of people were blaming TNT for it. Now I know why I stay away from such places.
This plot so far is really really fun. It's got a great comic (I love how it goes along with what we do) it's going at a nice pace (much like Altador did... until we were waiting for prizes) and it's a great level of difficulty, but without being super intimidating.
The problem for me with the LDP was that I couldn't map my tomb, and that was kind of the first step. After finding out the awesome prizes, I wish I had put more effort into it.
This plot is pretty difficult, but nothing so far has made me want to give up. Hopefully this plot has some killer prizes, then.
