Thanks for pointing that out and giving sense to my theory!!!
that is one sick smurf, the guy who designed this plot

and if you look at my pix, you can see that the plot amulet, although 3-D, is definately flat. and remember, these situations exist SIMULTANIOUSLY. the orb is still imprisoning DF. anyway, it makes sense that the amulet isn't the same as the constelation. take the Thief; the constellation is his knife, but we didn't find it, we found a differant one. however it got there. and the scales were DEFINATELY not the same. one belonged to Gordos, the other is on a coin.

I don't know if this has already been discussed, but if you enter a negative number as a coordinate in the library, it leads to an abyss. Perhaps this is only a saftey measure against negative rooms, but who knows?

A quick screenie-type thing:

Well then.

medallion

The medallion has eight points, just like Altador. The constellation represents what Jerdana did in the past, but the medallion may be for something future.

Hmm... I think the darkest faerie statue is not supposed to be at ruin of maraqua anymore, the current plot is a plot after ps2 game plot, thus the darkest faerie is being imprisoned by Fyora herself...

amulet

Mon May 15, 2006 11:43 pm

i agree about the amulets...my Question is though is what is going to happen to the DF in maraqua once we complete this mini quest????is TNT going to make it so that the amulet destroys the orb and the DF comes back to Altador ?? or what?? THese are just some of the possibilities that my crazzy mind has been thinking about. because you gotta admit that its real funny that the city of altador resembelsthe amulet as well as the star in the center of the HoH and the center of the Archives...

Yea, that's interesting that both images are in the constellation. I wasn't thinking about that as much. In the Darkest Faerie game, is the design of the orb ever mentioned? Did it represent something, like the medallion seems to represent the city?

amulet

dont know but i tell you what i have been doing a lot of looking and re-reading in altador. i keep revisiting every where we have had to go for the quest so far and there a few questions i have that i wonder if they are part of this plot or not....like the area where we found the amulet to begin with... there is the pedistal but whats behind it??? a darkened wall..yeah sure but is there going to be a spot on it we need to click??? and what about the hunter?? are we expected to find a section of the forest that is accesible to continue the quest??? or are they going to use the archives library to do it ??? And did any one notice how the HoH resembles the constilation of the amulet??? the 4 pillars and the building itself in the center???

To spoil any speculation as to what the deal is with the Maraquan Statue and the one Faerie, THEY ARE ONE IN THE SAME!!! The Darkest Faerie PS2 game takes the player on a wild ride through a few choice areas of Neopia as the DF unleashes her sinister plot. In the end the DF is reimprisoned in Faerieland. So, although there is a link to the Maraquan statue through the Altador plot, odds are it won't come into play in the actual plot. Unless of course they decide to have a quick runthrough of the DF plot to move the statue.

Origin of Shadow_Twisted's magic number:

I used the HOH statue ids for each hero in the chronological order of their constellations.

Recently found an anomoly with arcx=2147483648&arcy=2147483647 If I move one up or one right, the coordinates flip-flop and don't do anything else.

There really is something going on here, I can get to arcx=2147483650 and arcy=2147483649, but not consistantly, and it bumps me back down to the above numbers. I'm going to look for graph paper.

Has anyone found anything like this on other numbers?

That number is the limit of a signed integer which is really technical programming stuff. When you try to add to a signed integer it does weird things. So this is more likely a bug than a clue.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Integer_(computer_science)

I guess you have to copy and paste. It must not like the () but they are part of the link

Yeah, nevermind about that number, it just seems to be the upper limit of the room numbers. I was looking at the wrong number when I saw ...51.

Stupid numbers

Unfortunately, no one can help you. There is no trick positively discovered yet. Read this thread and the previous one, and you can try to follow some of other peoples' methods, but the only method that works for many is random clicking.

Just keep trying!

Altador

This is a new twist. Has anyone found their constellation but it won't be accepted by the telescope? I have plotted it out several times and different ways, but it never gets accepted. What could I be doing wrong, please?

Are you connecting it as it shows here?

Don't forget the single star on the left...you have to "add star" and not connect it.
