kuroro, hi :) Actually, when the portal was first made available for testing, then premium, I was one of the people jumping up and down in outrage ... paying? to play on the site?!

Then I got curious (naturally) and ended up trying the premium page every day for I think about a month. Finally there was a space open so I decided to give it a try. I have to say now that I've had it for quite a few months (about 9 or 10?) I love it.

I am sorry there's so many problems on VSI's end right now. Their customer service is, shall we say, lacking (being forum friendly here). They're not notifying people that there's a problem with paypal or anything else, people are getting different information depending on who they're talking to - if they actually get to talk to anyone. And for people overseas, I can't even imagine what it would cost to try to call for help.

I've never dealt with a business where, if there's a payment problem or your cc is expiring, they don't contact you ahead of time (like a month) and let you know so you can change your payment option, cancel, whatever. VSI just drops people and leaves them hanging. That's not good business. They should be very glad us premium members aren't at the meeting!

Flighttime, I'm not a person having problems, thank goodness. But I was thinking of either buying another premium for my roommate for her birthday or upgrading to the $15.99 pack - as long as her account would be noted as her main account and not some sort of sub accout of mine. I also liked the idea of having a back up dialup (gods forbid) if I needed it. I know I'll be waiting till this is all over with.

The people with problems - they're rightfully angry and upset (I don't think they should be at TNT, but directly at VSI). But underneath all that I believe there is an awareness and appreciation of you doing what you can to help the situation and to keep us all posted on what the devil is going on. Actually as you can see, TNT is trying very hard to work this out as soon as they noticed their members having problems. Premium is not open to the general public and still remains listed as being in beta testing. While we do experience the occasional snag here and there, on the whole it runs smoothly and is a wonderful service. I don't know who all works on premium, but flighttime often braves (and I do mean braves!) the neoboards to get realtime feedback on new features and work out programming bugs on the fly. Fly...bugs...get it? Nevermind, that was really bad :D It's nice to feel so well attended to. For most of us the joys of premium outweigh any of the rare mega problems like this that crop up. You might check it out after you see this payment bug is ironed out, features like the customizable portal and sniperspace help you use your time on neopets much more efficently :)

I just want to say thanks to this thread....I am in the UK and have not been able to access neopets all day...after reading this thread, I successfully changed my billing details away from paypal and have premium back now :D

To the user from Wales who was wondering what their options were.....I used a debit card and it worked fine for me. Hope you get it back anyway!

They were really on the ball with this one. As soon as they were aware of a problem then hustled to fix it. I think we're all so used to feeling ignored from when we weren't premium :D I never experienced any trouble with this since I pay yearly, but it was nice to see my friends taken care of :)

Heh flighttime posted on the premium boards that TNT isn't psychic, and therefore could not have emailed everyone that there would shortly be a billing mixup (yeah, people were complaining about not being notified beforehand XD). I thought they had that Kau and her crystal ball, but apparently she's still busy with the LDP :roflol:

People were more complaining when their premium was swiped from under them when tnt did know what was going on.

I'm very glad they've sent out e-mails now and fixed it all, but many of the people complaining before about not having a clue what was going on (for almost a week) and having to find their info from the neoboards and fan sites had very legitimate complaints about the customer service from whoever was responsible.

I am glad it is now all sorted and done with.

I log on today to find my premium gone. I'd go on the premium neoboards to see if anyone else is still having this problem but quite obviously now I can't.

And on the change billing info there is nowhere for me to change my billing info. I'm really not convinced over the security of the live chat so I'm not sure I'm willing to risk giving my boyfriends credit card details in that manner.

So I think really I'm going to have to give premium up, a fact I'm rather upset about but if they don't want my money then so be it.

Did you follow the instructions I posted on... I think page 2? I changed my billing info to a cc without going through live chat.

I tried but it still tells me "Current Service: $7.99 Monthly Neopets Premium Web Pack".

Did yours change straight away or did it maybe take a while? It's a little frustrating to see that some of their site thinks I still have premium when I don't ^^;

First time, when it was a glitch, I didn't check so I don't know. Second time, when the paypal deal happened, it had changed to 'no service'.

I'd go into live chat and ask them, as this doesn't seem to be a problem with billing, this sounds more like a glitch of some sort. Can you still access your neomail.com email?
