I thought back around the end of Chapter 9 the furniture was being used to whack the mummy invaders, after Sakhmet City was transported to the "other dimension". It'd be scary if all those scroll racks came back to haunt us!

Just to get a quick clarification, since I don't want to read back, and it seems that you don't have anything better to do-

When reading the scrolls of the third crystal, is the order consistant among the signs, or is it random too?

(Ex. I read a red, yellow, then blue Djo and got the location. Would it be the same order for a Set group?)

Nope, it's all random (even if you have multiples of the same sign, the order to read them will be different in that case.)

I'm pretty sure this has nothing to do with the plot, but has anyone noticed the little grundo toy in faerieland? poor thing looks so sad...

I've just finished translating my tablet to Qasalan. Now i'm on the part where you have to click the signs on the comics. But it seems like the hardest part.

You see, the plot chapters appear randomally. The last chapter (17) and chapter #9 are the only ones who always appear. In all the other chapters, most of the time the movie just won't load. It says in the browser "Done" or "1 item remaining..." but it never loads, i even left my computer for hours.
I tried couple of times to look at chapters 12-14 (for the plot). Sometimes earlier they appeared, with no special regularity - just sometimes they did, sometimes didn't. I tried maybe 100 times to look for them again - but they just won't load.

I already tried restart (x10), cleaning my Temporary Internet Files (x5), closing the browser and opening it again, closing any running program except Explorer, waiting hours for the flash to load...

I know they can load, its not a firewall thing - but it is just so random, and now they don't load.

If someone can help... i'l really appreciate it.

Smoky, that grundo's been there for a long time. I think it was supposed to be part of a plot (Sloth), but never used. It does ... nothing!

Lucifer. The only thing I can think of at the moment is do you have the latest versions of flash (8) and shockwave? I'd try going to macromedia, get the uninstallers - uninstall both, then install them again.

I told you - I succeded seeing those chapters before, even today. Even if every chapter demanded different flash updates (which i doubt), i still saw those chapters today and in the past, so it's probably has nothing to do with flash.

Even when you can see the movies sometimes, this still might be a problem with your flash player or even your browser. So first try reïnstalling the flash player and if that doesn't work, you can also try changing browsers and try firefox in stead of internet explorer (or the other way round if you're already using firefox).

Okay, this is a long shot but it sounds exactly like a line problem to me. If you are on DSL, call your ISP (and/or your phone company). Especially if it happens "intermittently" (in other words, sometimes things load fast and completely, other times not). I have similar issues here (just installed DSL and have to make a brand new line now), and I was just informed that there are no problems on their end or mine, but inbetween the box and my home wiring. Especially if you have the old wiring, the twisted strands, rather than solid flat wire.

This means your phone line is fine for voice but not the best for data. If the problem persists, you might also have to repair or replace the damaged line. If none of this applies to you, apologies in advance.

(In other words, data is just barely able to flow to you fast/consistently.)

EDIT: A decent temporary fix, I have found, is to actually request that your ISP reduce your downstream a bit. This *seemed* to result in longer stretches of hours that I could browse with ease. You can then just reset your modem when you start having so many problems that you can barely load anything. Good luck with that, too. I always hate the "call your ISP" answer.

If you are able to load each chapter, but have trouble reloading them, I would suggest loading each chapter in a separate window. That way you won't have to try to randomly load it again.

Trying another browser is a good idea and might help to identify the problem.

But if the problem is as stated above, one should actually try to *minimize* the number of browser pages opened (instant messengers too). Since if it is indeed a problem of data flow rate, then the least amount opened will mazimize what your browser can do. I find another great temporary fix, if that is also the case, is that somehow actually simply closing the browser and restarting it fixes things for a short while. (And FireFox does tend to load a lot slower than IE, in case that makes a difference.)

2. Downloaded and tried Firefox - nada (even not the chapters that usually load).

3. Reinstalled the flash player about 6 times + restarts. Still randomly appears.

4. Somehow (don't ask me how) I cought the 3 different chapters in 3 windows - it took me about 20 minutes, but i was fortunate to catch them.

But now i have a new problem, a less technical one: I've clicked the symbols in the plot already twice: first in the order that you had to click in the first table (top row - left to right, till bottom). nothing happened. Then I read it a little bit different - rightest column top to bottom, till left collumn. nothing happened.
I'm sure that I did not miss any symbols nor double-clicked them. I'm really getting frustrated with that plot... any help please?

I agree, I hate calling anyone, especially my phone company or ISP, but if the problem persists, better to get scheduled in early for maintenance, in my opinion. Do you have any pop-up blockers on? I believe your Translation will come in the form of a pop-up after you have clicked on the symbols correctly. (PS -- Damaged wires will only get worse, not better, as well. I am not sure how "new" your DSL is, how often you use it, how often you notice this extreme drop in data flow rate, but like I said if it keeps on happening, you may at least want to call for a line test or do some of your own (plug in any regular phone straight to your box on the side of your home, for example; in any event if there is NO problem there and NO problem on the phone company or ISP's end, then most likely the problem IS somewhere between that external box and internal home wiring).

EDIT: You should be reading from bottom right, right to left, then bottom to top (for the Tablet Translation).
