I'm sorry I'm not much use figuring out the 2nd crystal, but I do have a couple of questions about the comic. (I figure this lull before everyone gets back is a good time to ask).

1) Why does Nabile get treated so nice by Jazan's servants while Tomos is treated so poorly? Both were going to share the same fate, so why be nice to one and not the other.

2) Why ain't they in a prison? Logic doesn't enter the prince's mind I guess.

3) Why doesn't Jazan try to add Tomos to his army? Two ways he could do it: A) Kill Tomos and resurrect him as a mindless zombie. B) Tomos ain't that bright. He could be brainwashed with an eyedrop.

Oh well. Just trying to kill time while we figure out what to do next. Feel free to ignore or nuke this post if you want.

Yeah. Strange. Next I'll read the first crystal scrolls again, see if that helps..

It has been reported that if you read more scrolls after reading the 12 you are supposed to read.. it can potentially cause problems

Yeah, it worked! Now I have to wait till next light (...10 PM NST seems to be my only light hour..)

But anyway, if anyone has a problem getting the second crystal I suggest to read the scrolls again.

It's on an 8 hour cycle. So you'll be able to read it at 10PM NST, as well as 6AM and 2PM

Im going to try the third one first as i feel that is the most interesting combination of filtering out the first set of colors.

OMG dude what the heck are you doing, you completely lost me, I have no comprehension to your logic going on here.. maybe I just dont have the understanding of binary that you do, but your theory is way beyond the scope of what anyone in TNT could expect some 13 and 14 year olds to come up with. I sure hope your theory doesnt work, because i am lost

What about the symbols.. how do you convert those to binary?

well.. you know... it might be a little bit unfair if Tomos ended up looking better in a dress than Nabile. some measure of different treatment seems to be in hand.

my head is swimming.

I almost wish I was still waiting for a light or a spike trap...
because then at least I'd KNOW what I was waiting for.
this whole thing of trying so many different patterns and orders and whatever and whatnot is somewhat frustrating.

It's a wonderful comfort to know I'm not alone, tho, and that we're all working hard at it.
there's that hope in there somewhere. and it's great to have.

hmm... but at least one thing figures to me:
okay, so we got wetpaint on the catalogue-thingum.
for the first sequence, the colour order of those three racks didn't mean anything, and the dots on the crystal did, right?
and so.. this time, they change the order of colours on the racks, and make it ever the more blatantly clear by putting up a WET PAINT sign.
and the crystal looses its three dots of colour. blah.
I'm totally missing something. what what what...

i just took the numbers of the colors we have so far in the game...and put them in rainbow order

all rainbows are ROYGBIV. i havent seen mention of indigo so i though ROYGBV is all we will need. Then i went and made the numbers pertain to a color... THE basic colors are (at least in most painting...and in our first round of the repository scrolls...)
RED 1=00000001
YELLOW 2=00000010
BLUE 4=00000100
and the others are mixtures of those
ORANGE 3=00000011
GREEN 6=00000110
VIOLET (Purple) = 12 00001100
sigh... you can find a binary converter online somewhere...then you just take the binary numbers and look at them..basically i put the primarys as the base numbers so that the second crystals lights coloring could get filter many ways.

EX We will do an AND operation.
00000001
00000011

This above will equal
00000001

because there is only ONE digit thats in BOTH of the numbers above...
anyway dont worry about doing it by hand cause they have the binary calculars free online for use.

im still trying the third one...

EDIT - Who says 13 and 14 year olds cant figure an equation like that out??? have you seen the latest lenny connundrum?...i rest my case!

I am totally behind, having just got a new job and hence being unable to play Neopets all day every day

Anyway, I have my crystal, and have found the model. How do I get the lights? Is there a problem using Firefox (should I be using IE?)?

firefox runs ok with neopets...click after first moving your mouse a tad. The repository is very picky with firefox it seems.

How do I get the lights?

There isn't anything you do to "get" the light -- it appears 3 hours a day, each lighted hour starting 8 hours after the prior one. (I happen to have hours starting 6 a.m. my time, 2 p.m., and 10 p.m.) So if you refresh in the model room sometime during each hour, you'll eventually see the light.

Then it's just a matter of clicking on the top tower to put your crystal there when the light is shining in.

I've had no problems w/ Firefox.

Hmm. This is going to be a problem. Hopefully I can get lucky this weekend and spend some serious neopets time. Otherwise, hopefully my boss will be out of the office on Monday

Just got the second crystal finally!! Now to wait, my light won't shine for 3 hours.

Thanks to everyone that pointed out that going into the faerie room wouldn't lock me out for 12 hours. I had forgot. I had sat and fumed for a few hours before I posted my rant

I haven't finished catching up on all the posts yet, but it looks like everyone is still stuck on the second crystal?
This is starting to drive me batty!!

lol.. I dont even know what the lenny connundrum is? lol..... im a neopets New Member, ive been playing since the beginning of september.....

edit: I hate that filter... noo b will never be the same haha
