I think are 4 Useless Crystal , but we only have still 1

I also got viewing 1 through 4 of 4 for Useless Crystal. The 4 of 4 means there are 4 types of the item, like for wet snowball it was 1 through 2 of 2 because there was a Wet Snowball and a Wet Snowball Wand. At least I think
so :D

Ah, I got the 26 I mentioned earlier by typing in just "Crystal". I did get the 4 when I typed the entire name. I still think it's a glitch though because there are not 26 items with the word "crystal" in it (according to NeoItems.net anyway). There was also a thread a few days ago discussing these random numbers. :)

Sorry my question was so confusing. It seems rather straightforward to me. One of four. If there are *more than* four of an item, they show up only 4 at a time, I believe? Not even a glitch, as far as I can tell?

Anyway, I just had a rather sinister idea to get back at TNT. While we are all waiting, let's agree on a starting price to sell our Useless Crystals? Get more from the Chef, sell those too, to people that don't know about the plot. I say we value them at about 2,000 NP a piece to start, just to make it worth our time. What do you all say? (Half-kidding here, I am going so crazy I almost thought that might BE the next part of the plot, to make the Chef go through all his mislabelled boxes until either 1) he finds food, or 2) we get something Useful out of the deal).

I've rechecked everything down to reading the comic again, goin through the repository I dont think my hair can take goin through the temple again lol
All I've gotten from this is a headache and a lot less hair, either tnt release the next stage or I may just come up with a VERY useful use for the useless crystal (manical laugh)

Plot related?

I can't play anymore Grand Theft Ummagine.

Can someone try if it works?

Is it a problem on my side or is it purposely done by Neopet?

I was just checking this in relation to the Foreman food needs. In Neopet Yurble's description, it says it can eat anything.

Come to think of it, this is not the craziest idea, and it just might "work." Think about it. Nothing for us to do elsewhere, we can not Trade but can put in Shop (or Gallery). We can get "unlimited" (thus far) crystals. But the Chef has unlabelled boxes; I find it hard to believe they are all filled with Useless Crystals ad infinitum. Maybe this is what TNT wants us to do? Since we can't collect more than one at a time, but they are called Useless Crystals and TNT does usually label things as they are (most of the time), they might have the potential to exhaust the Chef's unlabelled boxes of "food"?

Where do the Crystals go anyway? If the Pant Devil can steal them, I still hardly think he is making something Useful out of them? I can't believe I am actually suggesting this for us to collectively do to advance the plot, but I am for now, as nothing else comes to mind.

EDIT: Another crazy idea (thanks Sky!) :P :: If we all Donate our crystals at once, they would land under the Money Tree, thus possibly creating some prism effect from which we might be able to make an alternate dimension become visible once again? o_O

Ah! Another day of being away from my computer and nothing happened, that I know of. To clarify:

How the comic will end will have a direct impact on our next move. I mean, Skynetmain (revered physicist to be and extraordinary creative mind) has covered just about all alternatives scenario to the ending.

Thank you for the praise. You earned some good karma, except I may start posting more endings if nothing else happens (not gonna happen).

To XenaAndGabrielle: I sorta applied wave-particle duality to most of the equations. Thanks for busting me on most of that. Hubris gets me a lot.

To all: Keep up the good theorizing. I enjoyed reading them all. Once I gett settled, I'll join in.

Was that one of mine? I know I suggested that it got shifted out of the visible range, but someone else did the prism. Side note: A lot of the early work with light was done by Newton who invented this little thing called the prism.

Greetings, Sky, hope you read a post above yours, if not:

EDIT: Another crazy idea (thanks Sky!) :: If we all Donate our crystals at once, they would land under the Money Tree, thus possibly creating some prism effect from which we might be able to make an alternate dimension become visible once again?

You came on at the time I posted the edit; maybe I made a mental connection of sorts, but that is one of the points of the physics of collaboration, and what this plot seems to have a strong tone of.

I wondered if you might actually think this worthwhile? (Or my prior crazy NP-making idea to exhaust the Chef's unlabelled boxes)?

Take your time, I know you're a student. Welcome back; another day. :)

EDIT: (Hee hee. Maybe the prism idea came from someone else, but mental physics-swirls usually were spawned by your "stories." ;) )

I would actually think a prism might allow us to see the city, but only barely. If they are only reflecting a non-visible spectra, it would only barely be focused for our eyes through a prism. A higher speed toward a doppler shift could also allow us to see the city, but we'd be going to fast to really do anything.

Edit: Hold up on all the physics stuff. I have a phys midterm tomorrow, and I need to keep my mind pure.

Hm, I'm not sure when exactly the theories were discussed, so this could have come up already, but...

Jazan could have opened a wormhole of some sort, and transported the city and its surroundings into a parallel universe,

But it does seem more likely that the city is still there, as Tomos and nabille see the nightsteed, and Jazan and the nightsteed are seen inside the city after it has vanished. So I would agree with the light theories.

Jazan could have double polarized the light coming out of the city, and then projected a holographic image of the desert into the area where the city is to create the image that there is no city there...

Sky: Fair enough, I wasn't thinking TOO elaborate, just what TNT might have in mind to expect us all to be at the basic level of to solve such a super-hard plot. After all, even the "easist" LC most of us could solve.

Leads me to believe maybe the plot DOES require some BASIC knowledge of physics to postulate about possible courses of action.

Of course, I only say this because I know nothing about coding or how web pages are made. If I knew that, I would likely be searching that realm.

I do not believe you can sell, trade or donate your crystal.

Your only choices to do with it is:

* put it in your safety deposit box

* discard it (that means trash, not money tree)

* put it on display in your gallery

Note: you can also have it stolen by the pant devil

All good.
Here is my first AU argues.
Here are a little more.
And here is my last.

As can be easily seen. I put too much thought into this stuff when we all know, in the realm of fiction, that none of it is what TNT was going for.

Edit: Your last two are easily simple forms of stuff I suggested earlier. I never went the tech route since the LD seems to have very little tech, except for tanks (see Swarm).

I think you CAN Sell it (at least put it in Shop). My main point is you can set it aside, somehow, to get another; and although we may not be able to keep another (or more than one), we can get more until --I am hoping-- the Chef opens a new unlabelled box and finds Food, since we can't bring that to him, technically.)

I actually feel bad for the fore-chef. I know the pains of mislabeled food. My stepdad used to get a whole mess of food like that from an old person slave labor group. Now they don't give dented/mislabeled cans but month old bread and other perishables.

Ha! I just had a thought. (Your line: First time for everything. Rimshot.) What if the fore-chef becomes some sort of quest, like the underwater chef, after this plot is over? Would that mean the prices would go down since there would be competition? I ain't an economist so I don't know.
