Bleh, I am still clouded for this conundrum, even after reading the clues here and at the neoboards, and having read 2 years and half of news. 
I feel like I read over a clue or something.
I will just wait until next week. I am 100% sure I would only get nps anyway.

Yeah, it was postedon the neoboards shortly after the LC came out this afternoon, I really hope I was in the first 250, but I doubt it.

people who post in on the neoboards bug me to no end. They just do it for populatirty I guess. TNT should freeze anyone who posts game answers though, its unfair to us who accually solve it.

Is there any way to stop people from giving the answers to Lenny Conundrum on the boards? It seems a shame for those who honestly work hard to solve it. - chunkeydoll
Sadly no. If we ban the answer from appearing even more people will get it. We added the shared jackpot to try to discourage people from doing this. After all, the more people you tell, the fewer Neopoints you will win.

I disagree with the editorial. If they banned it and made it a freezable offence, while it may not totally eradicate people from giving out answers in private, at least it eliminates a large portion of the lurkers on Neoboards who get free answers. I believe the prize reward will become larger by at least 50% on average.

Of course the editorial doesn't take into consideration the apparent warnings and freezings that occured at some point in regards to the answer to a MP (which is the same pot format) being revealed. The answers from the editorial are at best be taken with salt.

The thing is, unless they make it so hard that only a few people figure it out and don't share the answer, the game isn't even a puzzle/riddle/intelligence game. It's a race to get in the first 250 and get the cookie, which means constant refreshing all day thursday until the news comes out. The NP pool is spread so thin by people posting the answers on the neoboards that like hallucinating said, it's not even worth trying to figure it out.
Then to add insult to injury, they make multiple threads with titles like "This LC was sooooooo easy!" when they didn't even figure out the answers themselves, they got oblique hints from 11-year-olds trying to impress 8-year-olds with how much they know. (No insult to any 11 or 9 year olds here, I'm talking social maturity, not actual age.)
Grrr. Okay rant over. I'd still like to see a LC with a keyworded encryption. I'm full of suggestions for LC contests. In fact I think I'll mail some of them in. I've sent them suggestions before and they've used em.
