o _O Hey watch it! ancient my eye! ... just old
Morningstar, be careful what you wish for. I'm on SSDI, so I can get up at 10 or later - there are some days I can't get up at all! And definitely no money to burn...
AARP is for people 50 and older, it's an association for retired people (not that most people at 50 are retired).

Exactly.

My Dad has been a member of AARP for eons, and he's 74 and still works every day. (dentist) O_o

I mean, until we kind of ganged up on poor Adam one night (who didn't know people were getting warned/frozen for this) - I, along with other people were warned (and one FROZEN) for typing just the word ebay.
So yeah, be careful!
The worst thing to say on the Neoboards:
" I saw the movie *movienamehere* auctioned on ebay by PPT and it had FREE FLANNEL!!! "

I think it's VERY hypocritical that Neo can shove these ads down our throat on almost every page, blaring their respective logos....yet if we mention the ad's name on the boards, we get warned or frozen?
Nice double standard there...You can only say that stuff if you're willing to shell out the $$.
Yes, I'm in a crabby mood today. My SSDI hasn't been approved yet.

tigerlily (that used to be a nickname of mine many years ago!) I agree, there is a kind of double standard - the things being advertised that we can't type anywhere on the site and what is truly the biggie for me - that these ads are click throughs; meaning they will take you off the site to who knows where. I know at least a couple of them go to sites full of adware/malware/outright bad spyware. And there is one ad that isn't "live" but does try to d/l and run an Active X on the page - I'm always getting a pop up warning based on my security settings. Active X spyware is some of the truly bad hard to get rid of stuff. We cannot have clickable outside links to anything anywhere on the site, and in fact some people have had lookups/pet descriptions/petpages, etc. cleared for just having a web address typed on the page.
Oh, you're waiting on SSDI? It's awful I know. I was, like most people, rejected on first application - you almost always have to appeal. Then depending, you have the joy of getting forms every other year or so being reviewed. Always gotta have that sword hanging over our heads, huh. Just FYI - I used a lawyer to get mine, it really helped. Good luck!
