Siniri, see my post in the Advent calendar thread. My neighbors ARE such partiers. They do exist, and we've been unfortunate enough to end up next to some. Ugh.

We did a lot more cleaning/putting the house back together today. We moved more things back to where they belong, more curtains were ironed and hung, windows were cleaned, and we put up some wintery-themed decorations (mostly snowflakes) so that at least our house is somewhat festive, since we had to take so much of the Christmas décor down within days of Christmas. Hopefully, we'll be back to normal within the next few days...and have a clean house for it! :)

Below average round. Tally ho. Tomorrow starts a new one.

I'm physically exhausted, but we're still getting things done. With any luck, the last of the carpet cleaning will be done today, as well as finishing getting the curtains back up...plus a bunch of other little things that need to be done. I guess I could've made an attempt for trophies yesterday, but I feel much better for having been productive nearly the whole day. Maybe exhausted, but it was a good exhaustion.

matched:
0: 9 (18.5k x5, 18k (RLB), 11875, 2.5k, 1.5k = 126,375) = 5 days b/tw day 10 and 24, days 7, 8, 2, 1
2: 9 (19k x4, 17k, 7k, 6k, 5k, 100k = 211,000) = 4 days b/tw day 10 and 24, days 9, 5, 4, 3, 25
3: 7 (19.5k x6, 11k = 128,000) = 6 days b/tw day 10 and 24, day 6
4: 0
RLB: Day 7
Total: 465,375

Anyone want to double-check my math? (I cross-referenced the days and amounts against JellyNeo's chart). A day 8 RLB is worth 1.5k more than a day 7 (vs. matching 2), but the day 6 triple made up for 1k of that, and I managed to get RLB or a match on 3/4 of the critical days. That's an insane number of triple matches, right? Which is an extra 3k vs. double matches - but if they were double matches, that would still be an insane number of matches. So I guess it's right?

These were my prior stats:
"Record" high: 461,750 465,375
"Record" low: 452,375

That truly was an insane round! I'm glad I did the math. Beat that! (Seriously, because that'd be awesome! :D)

One of the dogs I'm dog-sitting for has had a couple of bouts of diarrhea. And the cats decided to meow outside the bedroom door until 3am last night, and then the other dog decided to bark and wake me up starting at 4am. Hopefully they behave better tonight...

I did manage to stop by my house and go through all the clothes for the Buy Nothing round robin and get them out of my house, and then make some more progress in my room rearrangement, sliding my filing cabinet across next to my desk. I have swept and mopped the floor where I'll be putting my hamper and a bookcase (I had to measure to figure out which piece of furniture belonged there), so it's all ready to go tomorrow. I also managed to get my bed up on the risers, so I can clean out underneath there and store some of my other items under there (hopefully I can fit all my under-bed bins underneath it now... If not, I wonder if I could get a second set of risers... and whether that would be safe...).

I finish pet-sitting job #2 in the morning, leaving me with just the diarrhea-dog and noisy friends, plus a phone-banking shift to help voters cure their ballots. I really want to make at least a little progress on my room, too, though. Maybe if I manage to get up early and don't have to take the dog to the vet. The drop from 12 animals to 6 will be much more relaxing than the drop from 14 to 12 was, though!

Also on the to-do list: making my own soy milk and/or tofu. Probably during the phone-banking (I need to take anxiety breaks).

Edit: They didn't. Both the cats and the dogs were at the door multiple times. I got up at 6:30 and let the dogs out (with shoes this time, because one of them escaped the yard yesterday - of course my socks and shoes were 3 stories up!), but I couldn't go back to sleep.

New round:

RLB today at 7k, so I won't be beating it this round! Yesterday's I thought was 1k, which doesn't make sense (I thought maybe it would if I had somehow gotten reset, but that wasn't the case). (It was on my phone because I was exhausted after finally coming home, and my computer wasn't set up yet, and I was just too tired.)

Since this won't be a record-setting high, I'm not going to worry about yesterday's. I think it might have been a match 2? IDK...

Day 1:4k

I knew I needed to do Trudy last night and was fighting sleep, so I tried to do it on my phone. And fell asleep after clicking on the "spin button" before I could collect my prize. So I woke up at 3:20am, and I had to spin again. Oh, well. I'll probably skip Saturday and sync up with Blue, since I already got a RLB this round.

This has been a stressful couple of days. Everything seems relatively calm here in GA, but it was a little scary for a while. There were credible threats against voting locations and elections offices in ten different counties for Tuesday (thankfully nothing apparently came of them). People tried to prevent absentee ballot dropboxes from being collected Tuesday night. Death threats against election officials across the state contributed to poll worker shortages that necessitated some early and election day polling sites being closed. And Wed. a group tried to get into the GA Capitol (unsuccessfully), and the SoS had to be evacuated while he was trying to do his job overseeing the election. There was conspiracy chatter that since my county was still counting, they must be doing something illegal  and vague threats about wanting to stop it.

Wed. I was driving back to work and the tornado sirens went off right next to my car while I was waiting at a traffic light. Apparently it was the weekly test, but I didn't know that since I'm not usually in that city at that time on that day. When it turned itself off after a couple of minutes, I rationalized that it was probably a test, and the safest way to figure it out would be to return to work (which is only a few blocks from my county's elections office).

Scary times. Thankfully it seems to have calmed down at least a little. One of the candidates conceding the election was helpful.

One day to go. Will be just above my historic low.

Sounds scary, Siniri. Sad and Crazy times, indeed. After this last Wednesday, I am now wondering what might happen on the 20th. The 2020 Dumpster Fire continues. Worse, is the major Covid spike out here. Hospitals are full. Ambulances/Emergency Paramedics have been basically instructed to "let you die" because they simply cannot get you into a hospital if you need it regardless of your specific issue, such as cardiac arrest... Ugh. Ugh. Ugh.

Very scary, Blue. We're nearly at the same situation. No hospitals were accepting patients, so an ambulance was stuck with a patient with life-threateningly high hypertension for over two hours, which meant their crew couldn't take other calls during that entire time. 1 in 5 hospitals has a PPE shortage, while 1 in 3 have staff shortage. We're at the point where more than 50% more people are dying each day of COVID-19 than are dying of the former top two causes of death combined (heart disease and all kinds of cancers).

They're trying to get vaccine rolled out, but finding personnel for it is hard.

However, my parents got it yesterday and my sister with an autoimmune disease got it Tuesday (she's also a nurse).

Anyway, stay safe out there.

No spin today so I can synch with Blue tomorrow.

Just above my lowest low.

Sounds like it's getting very scary there, too. Sadly, 2 hours is better than here. I've heard that the wait here has been up to 17 hours!

Glad to hear that your parents & sister were able to get the vaccine!
