Snarkie, considering you're answering our questions here, I have a few of my own pertaining about the Neopian Clock.

In the future, is it possible to setup a province/state/city or whatnot for the country we live in? For example, if I choose Canada, it should display all of the provinces in Canada.

Now this is leading up to my main question, once this is created, will you be able to code the clock to match each Neopian player's account to their specific timezone?

I know the second part will be difficult or nearly impossible to do, but I am simply asking if you would be able to do it. If not, I am perfectly happy with the NST time.

I kinda like NST... but then again I could see myself playing neopets, glance at the clock and say "Oh I don't have to leave for another 3 hours..." when really I would have to go imediately. That would be bad. >.<

Oh another question... any idea when they are going to release this (because I missed out on the beta testing :P )? Tomorrow? Next week? Next month? Next year?

To whom it may concern: You may need to clear your temporary internet files and such in order for the clock to work properly. Otherwise the 9 problem may continue to occur. However, once all files have been cleared, it works like a dream.

that's why we wear watches. :P But in seriousness, I like it being in NST, because then it saves me the trouble of accidently going to Edna's tower when she's not home (something that happens quite frequently), or thinking that it's such and such time NST, when, in reality, NST is three hours behind.

I don't really have that problem. For instance with the snowager, I know what time he is awake based on my own timezone. I know he is awake from 9-10 in the morning and 5-6 in the evening, and one other time that is like 3 in the morning for me. My problem is I would lose track of real world time because of the neopets clock. :roflol:

Isn't that why you have a system clock on your computer though?

Umm... yeah... but you don't know me very well. I'm ditzy at best, and I know I would pay more attention to that clock than my computer clock.

Case in point, I'm more likely to check my watch for the time than to glance down at the computer clock. I kinda tend to forget it is there...

I need to see the links/placement on the sidebar so a) I can start getting used to them (always clicking the wrong things :P ); b) to see if I am able to get pages to load (not too long) and just in general if I'll be able to handle 2 ads vying for attention (and not having a fit of vertigo); and c) so I can get started on fixing all my lookup sidebars *sigh* and playing with the css code for their placement and topbanners. A couple of lookups will just be "scrapped" - the "banner" was part of the background.

everconfused, i have read all the posts you've made, as i've been followign these threads as i'm a beta tester, and i honestly dont think you'll have a problem with the two adds vying for your attention, as i tested it the other day, the new arrangement of the sidebar means that it's impossible to have both adds displayed at once (on my screen anyway)

And re: the clock, i think leaving it as NST would be best, as if you want to know your own time you can see the system clock, but knowing NST is REALLY useful, as i dont know exactly how many hours behind me it is...

Snarkie, I don't know if you caught this suggestion earlier, but would it be possible to remove this banner

<img src="http://images.neopets.com/new_headers/games/neoquest2.gif">

From all but the front page of NQ2? The amount of scrolling the game now requires is a real pain, and you don't really need to see that extra banner while you're actually playing. Without it the Neoqest screen would be just about back to normal and much less frustrating.

Honestly it's not very hard to code.
I had to implement something similar for a corperate website once. The only real problem is making sure that it's done in such a way as to not pull the information from your own machine -- since then that wouldn't be synced.

Still not too hard.
It would screw up people who are playing in antartica though -- or people (like me) who move between coasts alot

I happen to be still noticing some minor alignment errors in Pyramids (at the end of a game or when an error message appears, the "Pyramid" overlaps the card pile .)

And if we're being nitpicky.... there's a little pixel in the corner of the toolbar where the topbar meets the sidebar that seems to be slightly out of place (it looks like it's labeled http://images.neopets.com/t/mc.gif. I only happened to notice this as I was looking at the current Gallery spotlight (where the background wasn't the default white.)

I noticed that last night. Glad I'm not the only person that's noticed it. It's making me batty.

The side ad and the search bar are still touching in non ie browsers.

I like the clock as it is, NST.

I have a sidebar suggestion - I've always wanted the NP amount to link to my bank account rather than that "how to get NP" page. It could link to "create a bank account" if someone doesn't have one. If I were looking for "how to get NP" as a newbie, I would look on the help page anyway, not there.

I'm not a beta tester, but now my stock news page has text touching the sidebar and I'm sure it didn't this morning:

We must be getting very close to public release :D

When will the new sidebar be released anyways, Snarkie? :battar: I cant wait to use it, since i missed beta testing xD 0:)
