If you broke the rules, you get frozen.

Full Stop.

I concur. Not everyone abused the glitch either. I'd suggest starting a new account and start rebuilding... it's suprisingly fun.

On another note, it's not likely to get frozen for restocking. In a relatively short time, I've made well over 30m. Unless you're using a bot, restocking will not get you frozen.

I think the most likely explanation is that you got frozen for taking an advantage of a glitch, I dont think many people on here did take advantage of it, cos (if i remember righly) people were putting warnings up almost as soon as it started.
If they had frozen you because of restocking, then I would assume that the message you received would have stated that.

Email them though, its worth a shot!:)

There was a sidebar ad for the DiscoveryKids Tutenstein show. If you answered a question correctly about the use of an amulet, you earned 1000 NPs. There was only 1 question.... Then people found out that you could refresh the page over and over and over again, keep answering the same question, and keep getting NPs for it. People were bragging on the Neo Boards that they were getting hundred's of thousands of NPs; some even bragged of getting a million NPs during the hours the glitch went unfixed. Most users on the boards were gloating, saying that it was TNT's fault and that they couldn't be punished for it. Some of us were warning players not to take advantage of the glitch, only to be accused of being paranoid or party-poopers. *shakes head, tsk, tsk*

Oh dear :( Well, today was the first day in literally months that I did any daily - and that was just the shrine. I have a new pet and I'm hoping to get maybe a few stats/levels from there. Otherwise, I've been staying away from them, just because - no real interest. I hardly ever got anything anyway!

I only vaguely remember about a daily glitch, but it was something about tombola, scratchcards and was there a wheel involved with that? o_O

The tutenstein game thing I only know about from seeing people post on the boards - I've never played that game. But apparently, people were getting huge amounts of np from it, were posting and celebrating how much they got, etc. I was like, Uh Oh here we go, and waited for the freezings to start.

I am sorry you were frozen, it's awful for anyone (except hackers/crackers/scammers), but unfortunately in this case if you did take advantage of a glitch - especially more than once (I can understand going back once on a daily, like maybe you couldn't remember if you had actually gone the first time?) ... but otherwise it is taking advantage.

Oh. :P Luckily, since I pretend to live in Antarctica, I don't have sponsor ads like that. o-o At least I don't think so. Occasionally, I change my country to different countries and bookmark the easy sponsor games for it.

Really? I guess it does make sense that antartica doesn't get a whole ton of sponsor ads...

Awwww....thats shame :(

If you did do something, then you deserve to be frozen, but they still may unfreeze you, if you can explain the situation to them. :)

As far as glitches, well I haven't really abused any..o_0

Did you withdraw money from the bank? and withdraw it in a "999,999 enter-enter-enter-enter-enter-enter-enter-enter-enter-enter-enter" way? for the SOS?

Tue Oct 19, 2004 9:31 pm

I'm always surprised at players who aren't aware that taking advantage of a system or game glitch is a punishable offense. I think that every single game site I've ever gone to, ie. Runescape, et al., has the same policy. From what I've observed about Neopets, they only freeze the users who blatantly abuse glitches, such as going to the Fruit Machine 100 times in 1 day instead of once. I think they give lattitude to those who use it twice, since many of those players may have forgotten whether they'd already done their "dailies" or not. I play a lot in the middle of the night, and often forget later in the day whether I've already visited the Tombola, Fruit Machine, etc.

The Tutenstein glitch was obvious to any player. It was only one question -- the same one for everybody. You had to know you were "getting away with something" if you were hitting the refresh button 300 times in a row....

Yeah, I agree, a lot of the people who purposily abuse those glitches, get frozen, and when they get frozen, they say 'What? I didn't do it on purpose' I mean give me a break already, you did it, and you knew what you were doing, and it serves you right! I am not directing this at anyone, I just mean in general, thats what people do. Its a sad...sad...world :(

Meh. Thats what they killed me for. Stupids. Didnt someone think "hmm, what if someone has 20 million np and wants to take it all out at once? Oh, I know, they can click, let the page load, click, let the page load 20 times! That's an efficient way of doing things! Now I'll just ignore the fact that people wont do this, and call it a glitch when someone gets 2 mil np extra because they withdrew money".
