Possible. I think it's also possible that they've (finally -- people told them often enough) learned their lesson about not promising a specific deadline if they can't keep it, so they're keeping the schools under wraps until it's actually ready.

Would that they had done so with the Sloth plot, but of course they had to "start" it to kick off sales of the Return of Sloth TCG Expansion Pack. That's done, so now they're working on the plot for the Hannah and the Ice Caves TCG Expansion Pack.

I would just like to see them follow through on something. It sure would be nice to see something that has been promised actually come to fruition.

I agree entirely. Not only are they lagging in the release of the Neoschools, but other things, as well. Like the new plot and pet revamps.

Maybe they should hire some younger people to tell them when the masses of players are wanting something in particular.

There was an article on the Neopian Commentary about this - Adam replied saying that NeoSchools have been put off until at least next year.

Thanks for the link, katia -- it provides excellent information, and I see I'm going to have to make The Neopian Commentary part of my rounds. Here's the comment in question:

Sorry about that :( Its a really long complicated situation... just believe me when I say that we had all the intention in the world to release Neoschools and the reasons why we cant are out of our hands and cant be mentioned on the web site.

I think it's just a wee bit presumtuous to think that the neo team have delayed neo schools just to annoy us.

Did you ever think that maybe they had problems with it? I know that If they put it up without it working 100% people would sit and complain about that too. Does anyone give them any credit at all anymore?

But to be honest. I couldn't care less. When they say something new is comming. I wait for it. If it never happens then so be it. Thats the nature of an online game I guess. (Any gamers should know this!)

Well said. Finally I find someone who is on the same page as me!

I don't think they did it just to annoy us - that would be silly. I simply want to see something that has been promised actually happen within a reasonable timeframe.

As for the whole hiring more staff thing... hiring more staff would mean they'd have to pay them, so we'd see an increase in ads and publicity, or a decrease in quality in the site as things would be scrapped to help pay for the new members of the team.
