I came online just now, and I know you've all commented on the most of it, but I just have to let my feelings out somewhere :)
Ok, so, awful. That's clearly the word of the day.
The new layout just makes me puke all over my keyboard. Messy tables crammed up together to form a layout which, terribly, is starting to remind me of some bloody Win 3.11. The most disorganized part of the site is, in my opinion, the New Features. I mean, just look at it. The old page was simple, clear and the page was dedicated to the News only. Now it's full of separate boxes announcing information. This way, you have to check every box one by one, instead of reading it like it was before.
Less is more! *headdesk*
And I of course wouldn't be a proper Neopian if I didn't comment on our new super mushy tiddly-widdly cutiepies called Neopets. Though I don't own a Darigan pet, I really really feel for you who do own one. I think they got the worst revamp (the already legendary Aisha being a very good example).
And lastly, as someone else here noticed, the personality and the likes you picked for your pet when you created him/her, is displayed on the pet's lookup. People probably have very different opinions about this, but I think it's a bit dull. Mostly because of the fact that when you create a pet, you have some image/idea of it's personality. E.g. you are a giggling 12-year-old and want your jubjub to dance in rainbow colored flower beds and be as cute and friendly as jubjubly possible. Then bang, 7 years later the poor jubjub has long since been zapped to a darigan minion who, in your opinion, hates everyone.
So if this section will stay non-editable, I will boohoo :/
As a side note, I noticed right now that the personality/likes are the same for every pet (X likes gathering food. When meeting others, X would act very friendly). I reported it as a bug, hope they'll get it fixed soon.
Ok, so that was my rant. This change was horrible and very unexpected, but for the sake of our sanity, let's try not to panic too much. *panic!*
Like many of you, I'm probably keeping myself away from Neo over the weekend. This is really the most unfair and useless thing that has ever happened on my time on the site, and I think I'll never accept this. How could I ever get used to this? I don't even want to get used to this.

Well, I've finally had a chance to read everyone's comments and take a look around at the new Neopets. I'm not terribly against the new site layout. Yes, I do wish they would allow us to choose whether we would like the side modules or not. Yes, I do wish they would do away with adding more flash to the site. But other than that, the actual layout doesn't bother me too much.
The thing I find horrible are the pet redraws. I'm in no way an artist, but I could draw some of the pets better than they've been done now, which is really sad. I'm sure my kindergarten students could draw better versions. My pets are one of my main reasons to come to the site, and now that they've been all screwed up, I don't know why I should continue playing. None of my pets can be reverted to their previous images. It's just a huge, huge disappointment, and one that I think a lot of people aren't going to "get over".

I was thinking more about the news page than our lookups..

3 out of my 4 pets are in the Neolodge....they were all changed to the new versions (although my Lenny is really just flipped, I'm still angry about it)

I think the only ones they changed were ones that would have had something -major- happen to them. One of my guild members has a Werelupe, and had she customized it it would have changed from standing on hind legs to standing on all fours. That would be a major change -- for all of my Neopets, the changes were quite minor.
...however, I'm not sure how far the Neostaff will go until they decide a change is now "major".

I know! Its Horrible! I picked 4 kougras when I signed up. I picked them because they were cute and they looked like tigers. In TNTs attemt to make them cuter, they became uglier. I mean, is it based off a tiger anymore? *sighs* One of them is a boy too. Poor guy. Besides that, I went into all the trouble of PAINTING them, and it took a lot of time and effort. Now... well I feel that was a waste of time. I've loved neopets for a long time. I know this sounds sappy, but when I went through some hard times I was able to temporarly forget about them on neopets, formerly the best site in the world in my opinion. (Pokes siggy... yeah I'm fixing that after this post.) I literally cried because of this.... I know, you really think I'm lame now, but its true. Now I'm just mad. What happened? To TNT? To my Kougras? To all the cute little pages? To my user lookup? What happened to neopets? Did some strange form of evil take over?
*cries again* As if I don't ALREADY have enough problems in my life with out my escape paradise being deystroyed.

That makes sense I guess. The pet that didn't change on mine was a Faerie Aisha but they had a custom design for it in the beta version so I just assumed.

Nah, the only one of my pets that wasn't manditorily changed was my Sponge Moehog, and the only difference between the two is a slight change of pose and an even goofier grin. (New Sponge Moehog is UGLY, btw.)

Bring back the old familiar layout. It must still exist in files some place.

Oh my goodness. I haven't been around much of anywhere lately, between RL and some computer issues.
I went to log in and had to come here -- I thought someone had somehow "spoofed" the site! This is the ugliest, hardest to navigate, why is my "real" pet central where I can see ALL my pets at once so buried, what the devil is going on with these beyond ugly redraws
I thought the icky redraws wer only if you were customizing. What they've done to my jetsam is criminal. Oh yeah, and I did NOT have my pets customized in the beta when the changes went through. So with the exception of my desert aisha, my other pets have been changed to this super too sweet for words cutesy version.
It's like they tried to take part of subeta, part of nick, part of neo and who knows what other sites and threw them all together. It's chaotic, confusing, graphics overkill and on top of everything else it's killed our lookups, shops and my gallery is a complete and utter disaster (I'm not kidding - my table border is all over the place, my blog is repeating, no background, no custom sidebar). I am truly disgusted.
