LOL I wouldn't have ever noticed it was gone.
I never use it, my pets only fight in plots/wars.
Oh well, I can see how this would be funny for someone who was an obsessive neopet battler. I never saw the fun in battling pets. I see the point in it for plots and stuff, but not just for every day. I guess it is a very funny joke for some people though. But some of us would never notice it.

I didn't notice the battledome was gone. I rarely fight except for plots and DoN. Of course, now that it is gone, I suddenly feel like battling.

Refresh the homepage a few times and mouse over the Neopets logo up front... you should see an animation. I've gotten a Virtupets V2 animation once, but is that it?
By the way, "teh" is automatic today.
If you look around you'll see some other odd things happening...

The animations have always been there when you mouse over the logo on the front page. Sometimes you'll get hearts, other times there will be Gadsgadsbogen fruit, sometimes flying petpets. I think there are a few others, but I can't remember them at the moment.

I dont really like it.
They dont even bother about change the text and the "neopian battledome" banner at the Hidden Tower.

I mean, you go to the Hidden Tower and you get the "The Battledome Is Closed" message.

Pretty obvious to get the bad April Fool's "joke".
They could do better.

Apparently I'm not in on the joke, because I can use the battledome just fine, and the hidden tower is up and running like normal. I just fought the Inflatable Balthazar to test it out, unless I'm missing something. Weapons and everything.

Nope, clicking like normal. My browser has never saved previous pages, so I know it's not pulling from another time. And I haven't fought the Balthazar in a loooooong time, so I know that just happened. It's very strange. Maybe Neo thought the fact that I can't sell a whole bunch of my stocks was joke enough.

I wonder, is it because I'm premium? Anyone else with premium able to see the battledome?
