yaaaaay! but man... i hope i'll have to time to keep up with school and all being in. not like the altador plot that took place during the summer so we had practically all the time in the world to blow on neopet plots. buahaha, this sounds like fun. and the plot itself looks rather intriguing

DUN DUN DUN!

Naw. This guy's a Krawk. Sloth is a... well, Sloth is whatever Sloth is. Although the Krawk could be one of Sloth's lackeys, but it doesn't exactly sound right. o-o Sloth's a spacey kinda guy, y'know?

Unless ppt pulled the pic out of nowhere, I think it's this new faerie:

she is new...right?

Ilere? Yea. She is in the Haunted Woods TCG.

So... When we're greeted by the Elephante, we get that long message about why "this place" is creepy or whatever. Then in the comic, the lost Usul... thing... gets the same worded message. Are "we" that Usul, or was TNT just lazy and got cut/paste happy?

Also.... YAY!! WAR!! *bounces*

Well, I still think she'll be in it. Oooh! Maybe she's the unlikely hero!

She gave the Krawk the potion, and he figured out the recipe. Then he altered it so it would have side-effects.
The Elephante used to be the gelert who wanted to be handsome. He heard about the faerie who created it and sent the Usul to find her. When she doesn't return, he sends us.
We then go on a Neopia-wide quest and run into the Krawk. He becomes enraged and holds Halloween hostage. So, then we have to battle him and his potion-zombiefied mutants to get our candy.

No, we're just being told the same story (of the old town Neovia) and warning, so of course the beginning of the tale is the same...we aren't the Usul, I don't think.

Where does it say that? The thing about the faerie giving the krawk the potion i mean...

Haunted Woods has a few new trees, a new rock path, near the camp site, link doesnt work, for some reason. Deserted Fairground looks the same though.

I just made all that up. It was going through my head, so I put it here.

Also, on the Neopets front page it says: "Travel with Gilly to the Haunted Woods and see what turns up. You're as brave as a cute little Usul, aren't you?"
So, I think she's just going to be there to narrate what we're doing...maybe...
Really there's no telling with TNT.

Ooooh ok. I got a little confused, and started to search the page.

cute? Usul? They are joking right? Usul's are creepy

I'm getting more of a Transylvanian feel than a Sleepy Hollow feel as well. I also agree that Usuls are, indeed, a little creepy, but creepy in a cute way.

EDIT: oh yeah...and SO excited about the possibility of a new faerie

I think most of the pets who took the potion didn't need to. For one, I don't think Bruno looked that bad before he took the potion. Just a little lean and stringy hair. But he could have gotten the same look through exercise and good grooming. The ugly pet really wasn't that ugly, she just needed to groom better. And well, the short pet and the old pet need to accept that they were short or old and love themselves as they are.

I can totally see where Mr. Krawley looks like Jenner from the secret of Nimh. In fact, about a year or so ago I drew a krawk in that style. I think I even tried submitting it to the art gallery, but never got accepted. Well it wasn't that good and totally copied from the cartoon. But still, it is neat how Mr. Krawley does sort of look like Jenner. I used to be so scared of Jenner when I was a kid and I watched that cartoon. Back then I was trying to decide if my krawk was good or evil. Now I kind of made up my mind that he is good, because I want to buck the steryotype that all darigan pets are bad and all krawks are bad, so a darigan krawk has to be bad. So I decided that he is good, but misunderstood.

My Jenner Krawk

And here is Mr Krawley

He doesn't look just like Jenner, it is just the purpleness and the way he has that sinister look that reminds us all of Jenner.

I don't really like how all the good pets are usually the cute ones while the reptiles are always evil. Just once I'd like to see a good pet that doesn't really look good, but is. Just once I'd like to see a plot where the cute pet is evil and the darigan pet is good. Something like that. I hate steryotyping, so I want to see examples of pets which don't fit what everyone assumes is the norm.
