Someone bid something on it (can't remember what, wasn't much, I think) and I accepted without thinking about it. I didn't even look back and wonder if it was a fair trade.

I can't remember what happended to the Strawberry one, but I think it evaporated along with my old account. I haven't owned a PB since, and this was almost 6 years ago.

*sigh* Good times...

Ditto, I had both those paintbrushes and sold them for probably way less then they were worth.

I'm never really a New Member when it comes to online games because I normally read a whole bunch of online guides. However, I do remember thinking you needed a neojob in order to get a bank account and picking Ice Magic as my specialty in Neoquest just because it sounded cool.

heh.. once i sold a lab map for 20k.... guess I was that New Member the guides were talking about ;)

Not me! I was way too smart a newbie. I kept everything in my SDB, cause my items were just too cool, and I found the shop wizard really quickly - I loved to click every link I could get to. :D

...But then. The number of 50k+ things I've given away for practically free by accident on the TP probably makes up for that one.

I absolutely *hate* Sticky Purple Hands things - whatever you call them. T_T

And the clothing items - heh, I did that one too. At least they were cheap, anyway. *Shrugs* There's another pet site where clothing items and beauty products actualyl do something - I think neopets should do the same thing. :P

I remember when I first signed up for Neopets and thought that it was very lame that there was a very limited number of pets to choose from. The signup screen only shows a half dozen pets or so and I never realized that there was a 'next' button to browse through more pets. So it took me a realllly long time to realize that there were far more pets in Neopia than I had thought there were. o_o;

I also used to think that malls were the best things ever when on a faerie quest... Took me a long time to figure that one out.

What do people do in Faerie Quests? I don't know how to find items when you can't use the Shop Wizard. Do you have to go to the market and thumb through the shops?

My most embarrassing moment, other than the usual Newbie mis-pricing items, was when I used the Quick Stock feature and found out as clicked the submit button that I had clicked donate a 20000np item instead of putting it in my shop. I am glad they have the are you sure feature now.

You can ask someone else to search for it for you- either on the Faerie Quest help thread here, or on the Quests Neoboard. Or you can use another account.

Ohhhh. Thank you, burntouttrash. That makes sense. I've been afraid to open a side account since I've been reading here at PPT about accounts being frozen.

I remember that for the longest time I couldn't find the shop wizard, so I had no clue how to find the items I was looking for. So to feed my pets I used to buy food from the auctions :P
Also when I visited the Space Station for the first time, I created a Grundo by mistake. For a while I didn't know what to do with him, then abandoned him.
And the first time I got an avatar, I had no clue how it happened or what the avatar was :roflol:

Another thing for faerie quests- if you've already got the shop wiz open, then you can use it for a faerie quest.

When you play with your pet, you get an automated response from them, and one of them is something like, "Thanks for playing, but all the other pets have more toys than I do. ):" This confused the heck out of me and I deducted that whatever pet you had active when you bought the toy was the owner of that toy. So I tried buying toys for all my pets with each of them active, and still sometimes got the message.

I didn't figure out it was meaningless until I started a new account with only one pet and still got that answer.

Remember when it was possible to use the url on your user preferences page to put your own creative hobbies instead of just picking from the list?

Well you had to put your password in the url to get it to work. The first time I tried it I accidently posted my password on my user lookup clearly labled. If some unscrupulous person had viewed my lookup in the sixty seconds it took me to realize what I had done, it would have been totally over for my account. I sure changed that password quickly! Luckily for me I wasn't that popular. Heh

Very pleased with myself, because I couldn't find another blumaroo guild, I started advertising on the neoboards, saying how great the guild was, how I was a massive blumaroo fan (this was about 5 years ago, you'll have to forgive the weird blumaroo obsession)

Only to be told that I had spelt blumaroo wrongly in the title of my guild.

Blumeroo Paradise.

I got three neomails all pointing out my mistake, and I felt like a right wally

You could've said that adding an "e" in blumaroo just made the word cooler like when you spell fairy as "faerie" or vampire as "vampyre" or magic as "magick" or neopets as "neopetz". Changing the spelling of words just makes you ten times cooler :P

The first time I fed my first pet all the way and it said "bloated," I thought it was sick and I spent all the nps I had on Flat-U-Less Tablets to cure my pet.

I was new to the BD and I saved and saved untill i got 100k which was worth much more then my set and bought a downsize powerplus and when i tested it, it vanished :P
