My thoughts on Meridell, Brightvale and Darigan is that agreeing with most of the posts that all three should show on the world map next to each other. But you should once you get to those lands be able to click from one to the other, like you can do now, without returning to the world map because having to go back to the explore screen between each of the areas would get annoying fast

Frankly, I would be happiest if we could click between worlds all the way across neopia, ie from woods to desert to central to meridell to island to mountain.
As long as I'm ranting, I really wish that there was link on the sidebar that went directly to the shop wiz.
it's so nice in premium to finally be able to have a direct link to my items at all times!

The thing is, though, Neopia would be so ugly without the southern ice cap. Makuta made a picture of it earlier. It looks like a giant raindrop. I think they should make it non-icey, like a mountain in the desert. Think Albuquerque, or Mt. Kilimanjaro, or something. A mountain you could hike up and see things.
yeah, that's what i was going for. it's the mountain on each side, not neccesarily the ice.
I agree. We cant ditch the icea cap, it makes it look like a planet. But think about our world. At the northern pole it is a sea, with ice floating on it. The couldmake the southern pole more of a walking across a glassier like is h style. In other words no mountains, just flat lots of ice
well, that too, but it depends on what you're going for. the rocky mountain would give the balanced, cool shape, and would keep Neopia realistic-free.
but the ice cap glacier would be more planet like, and realistic. it would also be good. overall, though, with neopia filled with random geology in all the wrong places, the mountain idea would work out best, i think. and we need a mountain theme. (hiking, too?

but it sure would be nice to have custom sidebars with links to picked sites, as opposed to just favouriting them and using that

Never knew that! I thought I had to be on a page that had the yellow bar at top, the one with items, shop, guild, auction... I don't know what that thing is called, but anyhow thanks for the info.
As far as favorites, I believe the toolbar will save your favorite pages. I think as far as premium/portal goes, my favorite features are:
1. being able to see all your items at any time, on any page.
2. SSW!!! YEAH BABY I have made so much np, and saved so much time, from having that.
3. dailies buttons... i discovered the avatar.starried.net dailies about a week before I signed up for premium, and the novelty had not yet worn off when I discovered I could have dailies links in the portal! (sorry starried, yours is nice too, but nothing beats having it directly on the site)
4. The direct link to the shop till, which shows if you have money in there... without having to go there and look. (and the bank account link too).
I do not use the tool bar because I primarily access neopets from work and I don't want to install anything on this computer that might annoy other users. And who needs the tool bar when you have the portal!

Another peeve of mine that I haven't seen in this thread, is that none of the altador shops have the link "back to altador", and similarly, that the lost desert shops in sakhmet take you back to the CENTER of the lost desert, instead of directly back to sakhmet.
Ya, I must admit. I thought by now they would have the shops on a default setup to copy and paste the code that includes:
the items to sell,
what the shopkeeper looks like and says,
the name of the shop,
and the BACK TO _____ link!!
Ah well.
Anyway, Back to the map...
I'm looking forward to the other side of neopia. Something I COULD see them doing actually is a Veggie town (not just Asparagus) But it should SO be taken over and ruled by Thyassa the Chia (turned asparagus by now) upon users finding the world.
I hope they also find a world that is completely backwards in size.
I.e. Grass and mushrooms are huge, puddles are massive, petpets are big but mountains are tiny ane neopets are small. In fact, one of the monsters of the land would be a gigantic petpetpet. (the battledome there would be hilarious if Hidden Tower artifacts were useless and the bubble gun was a deadly weapon.)
