someone earlier joked that the thief could be in a forum because it's crowded... and i know it's a joke, but it's a good guess. in ancient Rome, the forum was the local marketplace. There were tons of stalls, with shops and mini-banks. there were also announcements posted, and major ones were read out by someone with a loud voice. basically, a crowded place full of valuable stuff for sale. perfect for a pickpocket of robber. so yeah, the thief would fit in great in a forum.

of course, the Romans ripped the forum idea off the Greek agora.

I actually pondered this myself....mainly I came to that reasoning because the forums were really slow last night and on my computer it was causing everyone to have the default avvie. To me, that was significant, as if the avs had been "stolen" but on refresh, they all came back, so I think that was just a glitch from the slowness.

But who's to say we wont get something "stolen" from us? *remembers the mini-mini-mini-plot of the missing petpets....

Now that's mini. :P Yeah, I remember that... *Pokes the giant green jelly*

Perhaps it is about the astrology club emblems? If the thief is involved with items being stolen, and some people have already reported their badge/thingie being stolen, then it'd make sense. Which might mean that a clue could have been uncovered, but we can't find it yet because we haven't been stolen from.

Astronomy Club may be the right track. Since the other members are planning to oust the current CP, it may be that the constellation is on something he steals from the club when he leaves. There'll be a whole thing about finding where he's hiding and what not. Speculation is fun :)

Perhaps Shiny Astrolabe and Astronomy Club Membership Badge can give additional points at the end of plot.

And I think that making FAQ for plot is good idea.

What if when the thief is released, the furniture records or the foreman's/janitor's toenail polish is found? They did say that the records were stolen and so was the toenail polish... And I, for one, would like to get some credit for moving furniture :D

wait if King Altador is last. Doesnt that meant he's the traitor!

actually, this seems to be the main theory, and I pretty much proved it with a previous post on an earlier split. but really, i can't take credit because about 5,000,000,000 people before me mentioned it. still, i'lll post my logic later... *runs off to find it*

EDIT: here it is:

The theif is next. There has been big discusion in almost all of the threads so far. The order was found in the flash file and it is
1. The Darkest Faerie
2. The Dreamer
3. The First to Rise
4. The farmer
5. The Dancer
6. The Wave
7. The Gladiator
8. The Collector
9. The Theif
10. The Gatherer
11. The Protector
12. The Hunter

Maybe this should be posted on the first page so every thread we don't have to go through it again.

definately. i've been seeing that list since the dreamer and it hasn't been wrong yet. i seriously doubt TNT would include a red herrring like this. they've don it before, but
a. i don't think they could have predicted the file being found
b. it wouldn't throw us of that much and
c. 2/3 of the way already-don't you think they would have made the list be wrong earlier?
so, the list is definately correct. also, did you notice that the archivist said
Quote:
There are only a few gems unlit on the ceiling of the Hall of Heroes, so that narrows down which Hero's constellation is to be found next...Fauna, the Gatherer; Kelland, the Thief; Jerdana, the Protector; and of course, Altador himself. I am forced to suspect that one of these Heroes may have been the traitor I spoke of before.

so, the betrayer is one of the remaining ones. in other words, at least according to the Archivist, finding a new constellation renders that hero innocent. So, one constellation find will prove its owner guilty. otherwise, why rule out the sleeper, dreamer etc.? and because i'm sure we're going to find all of them, it would have to be King Altador himself, because he's the Hunter.

or maybe i'm just crazy. :P
'nother EDIT: just fixing the quote tags

Just a note:
You can put your Astronomy Club Membership Badge into your Safety Deposit Box. You CANNOT put your Shiny Astrolabe into the SDB. Both seem to be "protected" items, with the "(no trade)" added to them, even more so for the astrolabe which you can't even move, lol. I haven't tried anything drastic tho...(discarding, feeding to a grarrl, etc).

You can put the Shiny Astrolabe and Astronomy Club Membership Badge in your Gallery, though. I think they're safe there.

Nope, mine is fixed and I couldn't put it in. Said something like "that action cannot be performed on this object." I'll try again and let you know. Also, I've gotten the pant devil twice in the past two days on the Wheel of Excitement, and it hasn't touched my plot items...just keeps stealing my omelettes. Hmmmm

EDIT: Got it to go in my SDB...there it shall stay until needed! lol They must have had a bug when they first released it, or something.

You think?

This shadow? If so, I don't see it... *tilts his head sideways*

Image - distant janitor view.

Image - close up janitor view.

Sorry for poor re-size by the way... Never was good with paint.
