I think the gems on the ceiling might play a role "later" (I still don't think it is a mini-plot, sorry). The Archivist mentions,

"I've also taken a trip to the Hall of Heroes, and looked at the gems embedded in the ceiling above each statue. Half of them are now alight; and it is not unreasonable to guess that we will find more clues, and have the remaining constellations revealed. But in what order? And to what purpose? What is going to be revealed?"

Perhaps the new tool we just got will have a use for that later?

Well, many people have said it is the Gladiator next. So, do we expect the long-awaited Collisseum to be finally opened (and can somebody please tell me how to spell Collisseum)

Personally, I think that we will never see a more likely time than this to visit the Collisseum. It has been mentioned in the Neopedia article, and there is a clear area where the Collisseum will be when it has been released.

Colosseum or coliseum. Either is correct, but collisseum is not.

Neopets could not shut down your star finder because it's not on a neopets site; it's not in TNT's control. If they were bothered by it, they'd send you a "warning", or at worst freeze you. That article seems to indicate they are fine with it. That, plus the fact that you haven't been warned or frozen yet. I'm sure they'd heard of your site.

Yeah, I've been thinking about this and all they can complain about is trademark inringement, if they've bothered to trademark "Altador" and the names of the contellations.

TNT can and has had sites shut down. I don't know about the constellation finder sites. I think those are just way too much traffic, especially in so short a period of time. People find out there's a new clue/constellation and run to get the info. Maybe they think (and maybe) it will be like the LDP - that the time it takes you to find your constellation will have anything to do with whatever happens at the end of the plot. On the other hand, you never know. The star map doesn't find the stars for you, it gives you your star map and a guide so you can find it yourself. The other gives the exact coordinates.

Thanks, it's been annoying me for a while. Coliseum, right. It just doesn't look right, even though I know it's right. It seems like it wants a double letter somewhere.

Anyway, slightly more relevant, on the subject of the Astronomy Badge and the Astrolabe, I think it might be just a way of TNT checking that we are all doing the whole plot, and not skipping stages, or doing it quickly. Presumably, anybody who found the Wave, and then when the next one was released found that as well, without going to the Astronomy Club, they would not get their Astrolabe. I think they may transform into other items when the plot is finished - like an in-game reward - or be exchangable for plot points (as I hope they're doing a points-scoring system like they did in the previous plot)

I don't think you can donate your Astronomy Badge, because that would mean that other users could get the Badge, without doing the plot. Maybe you discarded it?

Anyway, I don't think you desperately need it to complete the plot, but it probably does serve some purpose. But, the fact that it can be discarded does suggest that it is not all that important.

there are options for both discard and donate. It disappeared after I donated a bunch of items, so I think I managed to donate it

I hope you're right and that it won't be needed :)

Well in quick stock you can't donate it so I would imagine that maybe it's gone somewhere else like your SDB maybe? o_O

yea but the thing is on my first host i had 5000 megs of bandwith and only 500 used up, i kinda figured i might run out of bandwith but it definitly wasnt that early, i dunno i just think that neopets might have contacted the webmaster, otherwise the site also would say bandwith exceeded, then the site woudl com eback again after a month. not to mention im not even able to log into my control panel's on the sites anymore.

neways if anybody has a place i could put my star finder on i have all 12 constellations found just need a place to host it.

I would think that you can get a new one if you go to the astronomy club. Have you tried that?

Blame it on the boogie!

I don't think you can get another one, as some people would use this to make multiple Club Badges and sell them - if they managed to do the same thing that you did. But, as I say, it is unlikely to be essential to the plot - otherwise, why the constellations?

But they would do their equivalant of selling: "If you give me a thousand neopoints, I'll put an Astronomy Club Badge on the money tree for you." That sort of thing. Discarding deletes the item, so it surprises me that TNT still allows you to jeapodise your own plot advancements by accidently discarding it.
