I think a bunch 'o people submitted 100 as an answer...
They're forgetting that dubloons are completely ROUND... and I could have calculated it but I just submitted an answer that seems logic to me...
I got a 3 digit answer that begins with a 1 and adds up to a 7
EDIT: got it wrong, when calculated, I get a 3 digit number that adds up to 10
little hint that doesn't show anything: You have to use Pi to get to my answer ^^

so then whats the answer 120,100 or 243 or 234?its kinda confusing 
and um some people dont know how to use pie! little kids dontk now how to use pie. im in the 9th grade and i dont know how to use pie. i dont pay attention in class. i dont like algebra so i dont want to learn it.
neopets its a kids website so i dont think they would make stuff that u have to use pie or algebra.

Get yourself about 150 pennies and a couple long pieces of spaghetti [edit: the spaghetti is to make a square "box" just wide enough to fit 10 pennies across], and you can work it out yourself without knowing any math.

You're in the ninth grade and you don't know how to use pi?
Anyways, I think the answer I gave, the one whose prime factorization is three consecutive prime numbers, is wrong.

Neopets is for kids if that was true then why do the LC sometimes use complicated math problems.

Why do I see the maths ones so late!
Here is a hint, if you arrange three dubloons in a triangle(i.e. two at the base and one on top of it), and the dubloons are 1 cm in diameter, the height of the triangle is 2+ sqrt(3) or 3.73 cm

Not a problem. Its just that we don't like others to get the answer without working out the problem themselves.

That's completely wrong.
By the way, it is getting extremely irritating to try and tell my posts from those of thedumdone. I really need to get my own set.

no i know pie but im to lazy to do it and i cant remeber how to use it good .i just knowe some of it. im always skipping math period whit my home girls so how am i suppose to get better at it. and i know its my fault but really who uses algebra? only math and scientist and maybe some other people. so that is why i really dont pay attetion.

Or people who like to do Lenny Conundrum. Or people who like to graduate from high school. Seriously, stop skipping math, especially whit your "home girls."

You'd be very suprised what you use algebra in...a lot of things actually. If you actually went to math class you might find you like it, and prehaps want to do somthing in that field. >_>;
But seriosly, you need basic math like algebra in life, it is used in a TON of stuff. Now, trigonometry, and geometry on the other hand, is not used nearly as much...
