She calls out to you again as you turn to leave. "That scroll repository they're building sure looks like it's gonna take a while. Sakhmet City is trapped in another dimension, plagued by zombies -- or so I hear -- and meanwhile, the remainder of Neopia quietly watches a handful of Rukis making furniture. Remarkable."

Actually, to me it says - you have a while to wait for the next clue.

TNT are just letting us know not to panic, that the next clue is coming.

Oi! More clues/not clues. Every time something happens, we all look for clues or we all wait. Then something completely unexpected happens that takes all us armchair detectives by surprise. So basically, I am once again putting my vote with everyone else that says wait. PS: We need Sherlock Holmes on our side. He would have solved this thing before we even met that dang Fortune Teller.

I was the first one with news!!!! :D I'm so proud of me

I had a thought that maybe this is the start of the fighting part of the plot.. Look at The Vanishing City TCG card..
it says "Move all your neopets, Locations and heroe's from an arena of your choice to another arena..
Maybe just maybe we should search the battledomes as the are arena's...

Welcome to the Neopets Battledome! Not for the weak or sensitive, if your pet's got what it takes then come and fight! FAQ
NEW FEATURES Rules

Sahkmet is under ATTACK!!!
Defenders of Neopia needs your help! There are mummies tearing Sakhmet apart and terrorizing the citizens. Can you help them? Have you been challenged by The Qasalan Mummies? If you have, go to the Battledome and fight!

Could this be it guys?

I believe that's just the latest installment of Defenders of Neopia

awe well it was just a thought... sorry to have sent you guys on a wild zombie chase...

Sat Oct 01, 2005 1:13 am

Yup that's just for the Defenders of Neopia. It changes with every new opponent.

Sat Oct 01, 2005 1:14 am

that would have seriously stunk if it were the nest step of the plot since it's a 550 difficulty opponent. I shaved about sixty hp off the thing before i got creamed :o

That's pretty good! Not close to winning ...but pretty good.

Why do people keep asking me if the ruki picture is changing and the block is getting smaller? The the url hasn't changed since the rukis started making furniture.

Maybe it is wishful thinking.

I dunno. The way she says it is very sarcastic. She's all "the city's under attack by zombies, and all you guys are doing is quietly watching some Rukis build furniture." That doesn't sound like she approves of our actions.

And why change the fortune teller's message at all if it's just going to tell us to do something we're already doing? We already had a link to the Rukis from the repository page; it's not like anyone missed it. I think they're trying to tell us something. But I have to work tonight anyway, so everyone can just sit around and not bother searching for clues if you want -- that way, I won't get behind. ;)

I didn't say I was sitting around, doing nothing. I have been searching through different things. But I am not going nutso over the "hidden meaning" in everything that is posted by TNT.

I don't think it's that crazy to want to investigate the fortune teller's message, or to assume it means something. Every other time she's given us a message so far, it's led us to a clue.

When it comes to taking every single word she says literally (such as when a bunch of people ran out to buy crystal balls because she made an offhand comment about getting hers in the TP or auctions or whatever), then I'm with you -- that's kinda crazy.

"You got buried in a pile of scarabs? How strange. I sure didn't see that one coming!" She glares at her crystal ball. "Piece of junk. That'll teach me to trust people at the Trading Post. Well, I guess you can still go back to the Mysterious Tablet . Maybe we can figure out something else."

She calls out to you again as you turn to leave. "Oh! I almost forgot. I heard something about a few of Princess Amira's ministers, who were outside of Sakhmet when it vanished. They're going to get that new scroll repository finished so that they can use it as a library, and try to figure out how to bring Sakhmet City back. I don't know when the project is starting, though."

The first quote from the Fortune Teller did not lead to another clue....we had to wait for TNT to open up the Lost Desert Repository.

The second quote also did not directly lead to a clue.....once again we waited for the next clue to be released. I suppose I should rephrase that bit, I mean it gave us the idea that the repository was where the next puzzle would be. But we still had to wait for the puzzle to be released.

EDIT: There was also a quote before that one, that just mentioned the advisors being outside of the city. It gave us the area to look in, but we needed to wait for the clue to be released.

I believe TNT are using the Fortune Teller, to tell us that the next clue is coming so be prepared.

That's just what I was saying -- shortly after her message changes, we get a clue or a new task (we can click on symbols in the comics, footprints to the repository appear in the desert, etc.). So it can't hurt to start looking, can it?

Yes, I am saying that too. But I am saying that the clue is "Watch the Rukis" as that is where the next clue is. When they are finished building the furniture, the next part begins.

We do not need to search anywhere else.
