I've had the secret lab map for years now... but I'm not going to bother collecting the petpet lab map pieces. I have four pets and they already all have petpets I really like and don't want changed. There's not much point anyway, if you can't remove the changed petpets and if any zapped pet is ineligible for PPL.

I also feel bad for people who just want the regular lab map.

This person had been claiming that they didn't collect the map and somehow it was some type of a glitch. Go figure.

There' s glitch that says any petpets that have been painted today were zapped by the lab ray. =/

In that case ...*wishes to have picked today for painting one of my petpets*

I kinda like that small lightning bolt thing.
Though it probably would have been taken away after they fixed the glitch.

They've been fixing that glitch throughout the day, someone posted about it earlier on NC and their one has been fixed already. I guess they haven't got fixed what is actually causing it yet though

Aw man, I am currently collecting the lab map, And I only need 99K, and I really hope it doesn't inflate that much. And I am super dissapointed about the petpet ray. I like the colors so far, But I won't be getting it unless it is a bit cheap.

Tnt will have to do something with the Maps. I mean seriously, not letting people get the PPLR because they don't have the LB? Mean. Plain mean.

They know people are ging to inflate the bejesus out of things when it comes to this.

The only explaination and thing they can do is x3 the Map Random Events, offer map pieces in certain games and other.

No it says if you do use the petpet lab ray then even if your petpet is oldest, it won't be entered...

Wait, so we have to have the lab ray first before we can get the petpet labray? That reeks! I don't have the lab ray for a reason, I dun wanna lab any of my pets! But I WOULD like to lab a spare petpet for the heck of it. This is just STUPID! *goes off to rant to other friends*

Although I already have the regular lab ray, I'm disappointed that you need to have it in order to get the petpet lab ray. I don't think that's very fair to people who don't have it/are collecting it. I'm glad those petpets can't win PPL prizes, but I'm disappointed that the petpets change back to their original form when you remove them. It would have been cool to see what I could get.

That seems to be the gist, yes. And if you remove it from the pet, it reverts back to what it started as.

Which is fair and fine because if you think about it, someone could take a sweet, adorable and vicious Furwitch, turn her into a Faerie Faellie or something silly like that, sell it, then two weeks later there is a flood of Faerie Faelies due to a contest. Meaning, a very good retired Petpet like a Furwitch has been destroyed, and now is nothing compared to the other hundres of Faerie Faelies.

As opposed to someone taking an abominable snowball and zapping it into a Furwitch? Having the petpet lab ray's effects be permanent would decrease petpet inflation as many more people would be trying to zap their petpet into something rarer rather than take a chance with something that is already rare.
